🎭Play🎭 ~Jisung

"Alright, next up for the roles of Belle and The Beast is supposed to be... Hana and Hyunjin." The director paused for a moment before glancing up to look for the two students.

"Um, Mr. Lee? Hyunjin isn't here yet. Can we go last?" Her teacher look at her with an amused smile. "You are last miss Lin. Everyone else has gone." There were a few light hearted laughs as the girl looked down with a blush. "O-Oh sorry sir."

"Well, if Mr. Hwang isn't here, we will have to proceed withou-" There were hurried foot steps and the door slamming open as a boy ran in. "Sir! I'm here in the place of Hyunjin!" He puffed out while trying to look at the director. "Jisung!? Oh come on!! Hyunjin couldn't have sent me anyone else?!!"

The older male smiled brightly. "Wonderful Mr. Han! I was hoping you would audition! Come get ready on the stage with Miss Lin." Jisung nodded as both teenagers made their way to the stage.

Hana glared at the boy. He just smiled nervously and avoided eye contact. "Alright you two, you may begin!" The two nodded and started their audition.

Hana and Jisung stepped from the stage together and took their seats. "Well done you two! Very impressive! It is a shame Mr. Hwang couldn't be here though. Speak amongst yourselves until I announce my decision for our lead roles"

Hana scoffed and whispered, " that back stabbing-" "Hey don't blame him!" Jisung whispered back. She just rolled her eyes. "What could have possibly happened that he completely just ditched me and gave me you?!"

Jisung's face fell but he soon masked his hurt with an eye roll. "He has strep throat." Hana looked straight ahead with raised eyebrows. "Oh..."

"Alright everyone, I have made my decision." The students sat up straight, all eyes on the director. "For our beast, we have... Han Jisung! Congratulations! I'm sorry Mr. Park. You did wonderful but you need to be a bit more expressive with those passionate emotions."

Mr. Lee's voice trailed off as Everyone clapped. A few of the boys wore faces of annoyance, but most were happy for Jisung. Jisung's smiled brightly and relaxed back in his chair, making Hana Rolled her eyes. She turned back to the front and put all of her attention on the director.

She heard a quiet laugh. "Don't worry, you totally got the lead role. No one in this room can top your talent." She heard him but decided not to acknowledge him.

"And our beautiful Belle will be... Hana!!!" Jisung smiled smugly as Hana shot right up out of her seat. "M-Me?! Are you sure?" The teacher smiled proudly. "Of course!!! And the other roles are posted just outside of the auditorium door. Rest up this week because then we will hit the ground running! Good day everyone! If you have any questions, come see me in my office."

With that, most people hurriedly made their way to the door to see the cast list. But a certain two people were left, along with the director, who was cleaning up his work space.

"Oh no. Oh no no no no no no." This was all Jisung heard as he watched Hana pace the floor in front of him. "Hana?" He called her name.

Hana just kept pacing back and forth. "HANA!" She jumped. "What?!" Jisung's put a hand to his face and rubbed his temple. "What is up with you?"

Hana just stood there. " what if I'm not good enough? Why was I even picked? I shouldn't have done this!" The boy held both of her shoulders. "Hana you'll be fine. You are just over thinking! Now go home and get some rest." She nodded and walked out without saying another word to him.

Jisung looked at her as she walked out. His face was solemn. "What did I do?"
