Today

Hyunjin's pov:

Today is gonna be a good day!

I find myself thinking this rather often these days...

But today's definitely gonna be great.

Shady men are still tailing me, I still vomited my breakfast again, my father is still unreachable.
But hey, I'm still alive! And today is Monday.

I pass the school's front gate and feel my breath lighten. The sun is shining, and everything is as normal as can be.

Ahem.

Today was gonna be a good day.

But now, Elena is standing in front of me, looking really determined.

"So? What deal do you have with me?"

She exclaims:

"Oh, you're not trying to seduce me today?"

I grin,

"When did I ever?"

I watch her trying to hide the fact that she's offended.

"I know why Jisung is like that with you!"

Oh, here she goes, straight to the point.

"Like what? We're just classmates. The class rep and his assistant."

"You know what I mean!" she almost shouts.
"You're awfully clingy all day, not letting him breath in peace! And I know why he let you do so!"
I'm curious to hear why.
"Because you're blackmailing him!"
I open eyes wide. I have to hand it to her, this is a good theory.
"But just so you know, I'm going to get to the bottom of this, and I'm going to free him from you!"

I burst out laughing and feel her recedes. I then decide to play her game,

"Oh! Don't waste your time. I'm going to tell you exactly what this blackmailing thing is about!" I take a step towards her. "You don't guess?"
I smile.
"I told him to let me do exactly what I wanted to do, and in exchange, I wouldn't stole you from him."
She whitened.
"Got it? He's doing it for your sake.
But wait...does it mean he doesn't trust you? That last time you chose me over him hit him pretty hard, huh?"

"It can't be! We talked this out!"

"So you say."
I can see she isn't so confident anymore.
"Hear me out. What about I go about my business, having fun with my pet, and you do your best to get your pitiful little boyfriend's trust back? If you can, that is."

She frowns and, strengthening her position, she explodes,

"Watch me then!
I'll go to him and simply tell him I would never go for a failure like you, no matter how pretty you are! You have no friends, no pride and no fucking life! You only sow bad things wherever you go, and that's why your life is so fucking wack!"
I laugh.
"Keep laughing, you ugly! I'll erase you."
She tilts her head and smiles as if she had just won.
"May karma get your ass."

And finally, she turns around and leave.

What a pain.

I suddenly feel tired...
