Eternity (Some Really Sad Stuff)

TW: DEATH!!!

For the sake of the story pretend that half of this stuff can actually happen when they die.

The first thing I heard was Will's scream as I hit the ground. I saw Annabeth running towards me to try and heal me. She knew she couldn't. I watched from behind as Hazel knelt crying over my lifeless body. I saw Percy run over and stop, clearly reaching a state of shock. I saw Frank comforting Hazel with tears of his own. I saw Piper Leo and Reyna fighting as hard as possible to avenge my death, all three of them blinded with anger and tears. 

I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around thinking it was my dad. It wasn't.

"J-Jason?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's me. They'll be okay with time, Nico. You did what you had to do." He smiled at me sadly. I wrapped him in a hug.

"Thanks. I've missed you," I told him, pulling away. He smiled at me again grabbing my wrist and starting to walk in the opposite direction of all our friends.

"Hey, wait! Where are we going?" I struggled in his grip, but he was holding on tightly. I knew where we were going, but now that I had something to live for, I wasn't ready to die. I wasn't ready to leave Leo and Piper and Frank and Annabeth and Reyna and Percy and Hazel and...

"What about Will?" I stopped struggling and he turned towards me.

"You'll see him again when the time is right," he reassured me. I gave in, letting him drag me fully into the underworld. I found out when I got there that Jason was sent to get me fro my father to live in his palace rather than in Elysium. Jason was dismissed and I was left alone with my father.

"Follow me son, we have much to discuss," he said, wave me along. For the first few minutes, maybe it was hours, we walked down a long hallway in silence. 

"I can tell you worry about your friends. They will be okay. They are demigods and unless they choose to live in New Rome, you will be seeing them within the next thirty years anyways," Hades said, breaking the silence. I don't know if that thought comforted me or made me feel even worse. All I could think about was Will.

He was already on the verge of really bad depression before, and if I know him, this will make it worse and I might see him a lot sooner than thirty years. 

That thought scared me even more.

"I have to go back," I told him with determination.

"A soul for a soul my son. Be careful what you wish for." He stoped in front of my room, holding open the door.

"Feel free to get settled. You may visit Jason or whomever you must wherever you must, or roam the palace if you wish. Please let me know what you need." He turned to leave.

"Oh and Nico, I'll see to it that Will is okay," he promised, smiling a little. I smiled to myself as he shut the door.

"Wow, that's a lot. You've had an interesting journey young one," Akhlys inquired as I retold the events of my death. I don't know how long I had been in the underworld, but Jason and I had decided to try and venture into Tartarus in our spare eternity with my fathers permission. We had reached the goddess and she was quick to realize we were in fact not alive.

"Uh, thanks?" I guessed. She nodded, making way for us to pass through. 

"That was much easier than last time," I told Jason. He chuckled a bit. 

"I wonder what day it is," I wondered out loud.

"I've been keeping track since I've been down here. It's not exact but it's close enough," Jason showed me a small device, seemingly Leo had made it for him before both of their passings. I was shocked.

"I've been dead for...15 years..."I said, shocked. He nodded apologetically.

"We were in Elysium for about a year or two and we've been travelling the rest of the time," Jason added. A thought occurred to me just then.

"Do you...do you think...?" I trailed off but he nodded.

"I've had my suspicions. Do you want to go back?" I Immediately grabbed his hand and for the first time in 15 years used my shadow travelling powers. Luckily, it worked and we travelled straight into Elysium, landing right on someone. 

"LEO!" Jason shouted.

"Hey there Jason. I've been looking for you for like hours.Where have you been? Oh hey Nico! Long time no see. It's been like, a thousand years. The others will be here soon," Leo said, fiddling with some metal. Jason and I shared a look.

"What do you mean the others will be here?" I asked.

"Oh yeah we got caught in a building that got enflamed in greek fire. I died pretty much instantly and I heard some pretty awful cries for help and a few "NO's","he explained. 

"Who was with you?" 

"Uh I'm pretty sure it was Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Will and I. Hazel and Frank are busy running the legion or whatever," he shrugged. My eyes lit up.

"You mean....I get to see Will again?" I asked hopefully. He shrugged again.

"I think so, yeah. You do realize that means he's dead though, right?" Leo questioned. I was too busy rushing to the gates to answer him. I waited patiently as a confused Percy and Annabeth stumbled through into Elysium. Piper cursing someone out as she was tossed in behind them. A small frown grew on my face.

"Nico! Jason! Leo!" Piper called grabbing me into a hug which everyone joined. We all pulled away and Annabeth and Percy went off to talk to my dad or something. Piper pulled Jason and Leo aside to talk to them about something, leaving me standing alone at the gates. I sat down and fell asleep for a while before I heard someone call my name.

"Nico? Is that you?" My eyes snapped open. As if in slow motion, I ran towards Will and leaped into his arms, kissing him passionately. He smiled into the kiss.

"I missed you too," he said when we pulled apart. We spent eternity catching each other up on everything the other wasn't there for and spending time with the others. Our other friends eventually joined us, dying of other causes like old age. Hazel and Frank told me stories of my two nieces and nephew, Emily, Marie and Nico. I cried when she told me she named him after me. 

I got to meet them a long while later. And Will and I got married in the underworld because my dad is a literal god and he's powerful like that. 

And we spent another eternity together. 

Some of this was random idea what's going on in this tbh.
