SO I JUST FINISHED WATCHING ALL OF VOLTRON AND IM MAD BCS KLANCE SO THERE'S THAT. SO I'M WRITING ABOUT KLANCE NOW. THIS TAKES PLACE WHERE THE SHOW ENDS OFF AFTER THEY'RE ALL OLDER AND STUFF.
LANCE P.O.V.
It was our sixth year coming back to the castle of lions to celebrate saving the world and to mourn Allura. When she first died I was heartbroken. I mean we all were, but I think I realized when she kissed me the last time that it wasn't really her that I was in love with. Maybe Allura was just convenient, or maybe I tricked myself into liking her to erase my feelings. Maybe I just wasn't ready to face the facts? Or maybe I did really love her at one point. Not that any of that makes me less heartbroken or makes me miss her any less.
I was sitting beside Pidge and Hunk, who was setting the last of the food on the table. Keith sat across from me with Shiro by his side and Coran and the head of the table. Pidge shifted beside me, grabbing some food.
"Shiro! How does it feel being a married man?" Coran asks cheerily.
"It's great! Curtis and I are thinking of adopting soon," Shiro tells us. Everyone says their congratulations. Coran and Shiro continue talking while Pidge and Hunk strike up a conversation. I look up at Keith as I eat some food.
"So, Keith. How's your mom?" I wonder out loud. He looks up at me and smiles slightly.
"She's pretty good. I love spending time with her and all, but I think a lot of my work with the blades is done so I'm thinking of settling down here on Earth for a little while. Maybe get a job." he shrugs.
"That's so great! You could totally help me on the farm!" I offer with a smile.
"That would be great actually. Speaking of, how's your family?" He asks.
"They're good, no surprise to anyone, but Ronnie and Axca are dating. I'm guessing you already know since you see Acxa more than I do. Everyone else is good to!" I tell him honestly.
"Yeah Axca talks about her non stop and I can't even tell her to shut up," He admits with a chuckle. At this point everyone else at the table was in a conversation, so Keith and I turned to join.
"Yeah how are things with you and Romelle, Pidge? We should definitely invite her next year," I hear Shiro say.
"Things are great! I think everyone should be allowed to bring their significant other from now on. It would be good to meet everyone!" Pidge replies. I blush and nervously glance at Keith, noticing him blushing too. Shiro nudges Keith lightly with a smirk, then glances at me, his smirk growing bigger. Huh?
"Yeah that sounds great! Shiro you better bring your kid with you," Keith demands. Shiro laughs but agrees. We take our yearly selfie and spend the rest of the night laughing and hanging out before we all have to return home. I'm walking towards my car when Keith runs up beside me.
"Hey, were you serious about me helping at the farm?" He asks.
"Yeah of course! There's always room for more!" I tell him. We stop walking and I look at him. He looks a bit conflicted.
"Uhm, I called my mom and told her I'm going to try and live on Earth for a while..." he glances at me.
"Alright. Let me call my mom and ask her if she can set up the guest room for you." I pull out my phone and dial my mom.
"Hi mama. Yes I'm okay. I'm just about to leave now. Yes I had fun. Everything is fine mama. I have a question. Will you set up the guest room for Keith? He decided to stay on Earth for a little and I told him he could help at the farm. Thank you mama, I love you! See you soon. Bye. She said yes! We should get going," I direct the last part at Keith. He smiles and gets into the passenger seat.
I turn on the car and start driving. About half way home, I get a call from Pidge. Keith answer it and my phone connects to the car's bluetooth.
"Yo! Lance! Are you home yet?" She asks. I hear Romelle yelling in the background.
"No. Not yet why?"
"Well...never mind I have to tell you this in person. I'll see you tomorrow. Also can you get ahold of your future husband and tell him that I need to talk to him too," Pidge instructs me. I start blushing and Keith laughs.
"Who in the hell just laughed because that was not you," Pidge directs at me.
"That was Keith." The other line goes silent for a minute. It comes back suddenly to Romelle's laughter in the background.
"Alright well that's perfect. HI KEITH I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING TOMORROW! Anyways, bye!" Pidge doesn't wait for an answer and hangs up. Keith and I exchange a glance and burst out laughing.
I pull into my house not long after and open the door for Keith.
"Thanks." He says. We walk to the door and I unlock it.
"I'M HOME AND I BROUGHT KEITH!" I scream. People scream their "Hello's". My mom comes to great us.
"Hello Keith! Lovely to see you again! I forgot that the guest room is going to be occupied. Are you okay to share with Lance for a week or two?" My mom informs us. Keith goes a little bit red.
"Don't worry about it Keith, if you're not comfortable to share I can sleep on the couch. I usually do after watching tv anyways," I tell him, even if I really want to share a room with him.
"No it's okay. It's your house. I don't mind sleeping on the couch or even sharing."
"Great we can share the room then!" I say excitedly, dragging him up the stairs. I throw open my door and grab two pairs of pj's.
"Here you can borrow my clothes for now until you find stuff or until you're able to get your stuff," I tell him. He nods, going into the washroom connected to my room. I change quickly so that he doesn't walk back out to me not wearing clothes. We're both pretty tired considering it's almost 11:30 and we just got back from a party and a two hour drive, so when my head hits the pillow, I'm out like a light.
The next morning I wake up to Keith practically on top of me, the click of a camera, Pidge and Romelle's snickering, and the smell of bacon.
"YOU PIECE OF-"
"LANGUAGE LANCE!" My mom cuts me off. I jump off the bed, chasing after Pidge.
"YOU BETTER DELTE THAT RIGHT NOW OR I SWEAR I WILL ATTACK YOU!" I scream at her. She laughs and stops running, making me crash into her. We both fall over just as Keith and Romelle walk down the stairs. Pidge shoves me off and when she does, I notice something shiny on her hand. I grab her hand and realize..
"YOU'RE ENGAGED??? OH MY GOD CONGRATULATIONS!!!" I scream, wrapping Pidge in a hug. She laughs as Romelle and Keith join the floor hug. Pidge pulls away.
"Maybe you and Keith will be next." She winks. Her and Romelle get up and leave, saying bye to my mom.
"What the heck did Pidge mean by that." I turn to Keith and he has his arms crossed and eyebrow raised.
Wow he looked really hot right now.
I see Keith start blushing.
"Oops did I say that out loud?" I chuckle nervously.
"Yeah you uhm, you did," he says, not making eye contact.
"Uh I kind of like you?" I say finally, after years of hiding it.
"Can...can I like...uhm kiss you?" He asks. I nod and close the distance.
