Katie has been at the orphanage for almost 4 years now. They recently told us who her father is, James Barnes "He's dead. Died on a job. Fell off the train." That was when Katie listened to the director's door. She has the talent to become invisible. Not really invisible, rather unnoticeable. The doctor came today to vaccinate them all against the flu. When it was Katie's turn and the syringe was placed on her shoulder, something steamy, bluish came out of her hands. The doctor immediately kept his distance, as if he had seen something like this before. He started shaking and called someone. His voice sounded excited and nervous. 20 minutes later, about 15 people dressed in black entered. They said That they have to take Katie with them because she is a threat to humanity. A man held a handkerchief over Katie's face, which made her dizzy and fell over with her eyes closed.

Katie opened her eyes to see something blurry. People in white coats walked around them and these people talked about dangers. Katie's head hurt and she felt someone touch her. A man mumbled numbers. Something cold landed on her chest. Katie's hands started tingling and people started screaming. She heard an alarm and noticed how she was being transported somewhere on her cot. Suddenly a flap closed and it got ice cold. Soon she could no longer feel her hands, then her legs and after she could no longer feel her face, it was difficult for her to breathe. It felt like dying.

67 years later...
"I'm receiving signals from Queens at 23 Baker Avenue," said Nick Fury. "There is no building there, Mr. Fury." "Fly the helicopter there anyway, we have to find out from whom these signals are coming." said Fury, Nicholas Joseph Fury is the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D, he is 58 years old and is currently on a mission. High rays were detected from a ruin in Queens and he was sent to investigate it. "Agent Coulson, you are coming with me." said Fury and got out of the helicopter with Phil Coulson as soon as it landed. The two climbed over the stones of the ruin with their device, which was supposed to locate the source of the signals. "There's nothing here. We should go back." said Coulson. "Psst." Nick whispered, raised his pistol and followed a low but high-pitched sound. They came to a hatch in the floor. Fury opened it and they went down a small ladder and came into a kind of laboratory. Coulson and Fury followed the high-pitched sounds, they passed through the laboratory without a sound, whereupon they came to a very large and apparently frozen glass container. "There's someone in there. A child, said Nick, to all units: We need support." As soon as 7 armed men came down, they tried to pry open the jar. "Hopeless, one of the agents said, we need to heat it up." "You are right, tried to start the engines. We have to get this person out of there," Fury commanded the troops.
2 hours later the troops had still not made it and so Fury decided to take the container to the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. Once there, Fury said they needed an expert because they didn't have the resources to thaw the container. "How about Stark? He could help us," said Agent Hill, "I'm not sure we can talk him into it, Coulson please take care of it." 25 minutes later: "He should be here in half an hour at the latest, Director Fury." said Phil after talking to Tony Stark, an extremely brilliant billionaire and scientist (he's also Ironman). When he finally arrived he took a look at everything and counted quite a few things that he would need. After getting the things and 3 hours of work, the time had come. The flap was pried open and inside was a little girl.
"She's freezing. We have to take her to a hospital immediately," said Agent Maria Hill. "Start the helicopter."
When they arrived at the hospital, helpers transported the child to an examination room using a stretcher. "What do you know about the girl?" "Nothing." said Fury. "All right, we're going to do a DNA test. Wait here." A while later the doctor in charge came and gave Nick the documents:

Name: Katie Barnes
Parents: Louise Cheaupón & James Buchanan Barnes, both dead
Date of birth: 11/23/1943
Condition: frozen (potential danger)

"What does that mean? Potential danger?" asked Fury. "Sorry Director, but unfortunately we couldn't find out." said the doctor. "What are you going to do with her now?" "We will keep her here for the time being until she has got used to everything and her body temperature is back to normal. After that we will take her to an orphanage."
"Algright, guys we are done here." said Fury and went out the door with a couple of agents.

After almost a month of hospitalization, where tests and blood tests were carried out, Katie was allowed to leave the hospital. Katie had no one at the time, just the old lady with the tightly tied ponytail. That woman was called Lady Newman. She is a widow, after her husband died she built an orphanage. The Newman Home.
