Ink's POV

The freezing cold temperature bit at my body, causing my bones to ache. My eyes opened after a few minutes of discomfort.

I saw Error sleeping peacefully under only one layer of bed sheet. I wanted to cuddle up to his warm body but I didn't want to wake him up.

I thought about the past events. My family had been home from Error's parents' house for a few days now, getting back into the rhythm of daily life.

Quietly getting out of bed, I grabbed my sketchbook, phone, and headphones. I walked into the living room before sitting on the couch and curling in a blanket.

My hand twirled the pencil while trying to think of a new sketch. Once it came to mind, I dragged the utensil against the thick paper. Rough lines slowly formed together to show a picture.

There was suddenly a dark silhouette in the hallway which caused me to look up.

I was surprised to notice my husband awake as he was supposed to be sleeping. Error needed to leave for a business trip in five hours so the rest was necessary.

Error: Why are you awake, Inky?

Me: I could ask the same for you.

Error: Because I turned over and found that my wife was gone.

He tiredly whispered as he sat next to me. I felt him pull me into his lap. I smiled before continuing my drawing. However, my pencil stopped when I suddenly felt hands on my shoulders.

Error squeezed his hands before gently massaging my body. I let out a small groan as my head leaned back, resting against his chest.

Error: Does that feel good?

I nodded, burying myself into his neck. The light massaging felt good on my body pains. My husband let go and wrapped his arms around my waist.

I felt myself become relaxed as my body warmed up from his body temperature. The bone aches slowly disappeared. We sat on the couch together as time passed.

(Time Skip)

I sat on the bed while watching Error stack folded clothes into his luggage. It was three in the morning and his plane leaves in two hours. A yawn revealed that I was tired from waking up in the middle of the night.

Me: Do you have everything?

Error: I believe so.

Me: What about your glasses?

Error: I almost forgot but I do have them.

Error zipped up the suitcase before throwing it over his shoulder. We walked into the hallway, entering our sons' bedroom. My husband quietly placed his stuff on the floor and approached our first born's bed.

He leaned down to kiss Gray on the head. The small kid moved slightly but didn't wake up. Error moved away from the bed, moving towards the cradle and leaning against the railing to watch PJ.

I followed soon after and leaned on his shoulder. PaperJam slept deeply while having a pacifier in his mouth. A smile grew on my husband's face.

Error: He's growing so fast.

Me: I know. Where did all the time go?

Error: We were just living our lives.

He said before kissing his fingers and touching them to PJ's forehead.

A few minutes later, we were in the car on the way to the airport. It was still very dark, the moon showing itself in the night sky.

The car was quiet as Error rested against the back of the seat. His eyes being closed told me that he was resting before his flight.

The car pulled to the loading zone of the airport. I turned off the vehicle before lightly tapping Error.

Me: Babe, we're here.

Error groaned as his eyes opened. He saw the building outside but closed them once more.

Error: Five more minutes.

I smiled before pressing a button, opening the trunk of the car. I got out and moved to the back to get the suitcase. Error appeared at the side with a few yawns.

He grabbed the strap, throwing his stuff over his shoulder. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him. He returned it with a tired aspect.

I felt him move down to my scarf and heard him whisper.

Error: Ink.

Ink: Yes?

His muffled voice spoke from my neck.

Error: When I get back for our anniversary, I need you to have two bottles of your favorite wine and nothing underneath because goddammit, I'm getting you drunk and then we're having sex.

I left out a small laugh.

Ink: Jesus Christ. Is that a promise or a threat?

Error: A promise.

We backed away and kissed one more time.

Error: I love you, Ink.

Me: I love you too. I'll see you for our anniversary in...
