❝ 04: too embarrassed to face him ❞

A week has passed but it is still awkward to be with my husband. We only exchanged a couple of words for the past week. I couldn't even make eye contact. I've been ignoring him these days, so much that he probably noticed. Whenever he would talk to me, I would always come up with an excuse to run away.

❝What a nice day❞ I said as soon as I woke up. I quickly took a peek at my door to see if he's awake yet. It is still awkward to see him. I am always on my guard these days and that makes me distressed. I slowly walked to the living room, only to meet him there. Mom...Help me. I walked to the kitchen slowly and carefully making sure that I'm not making eye contact with him.

I was about to enter the kitchen when he spoke. ❝Did you sleep well?❞ He asked me. I looked and back and smiled slightly. ❝Yeah,❞ I then hurriedly entered the kitchen. I sighed and held onto the fridge. I patted my chest since that made me nervous. As usual, I cooked breakfast and cleaned up afterward.

I served it on the table and signaled him that breakfast is ready. He walked in my direction and sat in the chair in Infront of me. There are 6 chairs here and yet, you chose to sit on the one in Infront of me. I just ate my food and did not look at him. When I was done, I stood up and put on my dishes in the sink. I headed upstairs and went inside my bathroom to wash.

I went out of the bathroom and went inside my walk-in closet and rummaged for clothes to wear. After 15 minutes of choosing, I decided to wear a black overall with a cream sweater.

I headed downstairs and saw that he was done eating. I walked to the sink and wore gloves. I put on an apron to prevent my clothes from getting wet. After 20 minutes, I was done with the dishes and headed upstairs. I took a small bag and is prepared to head out.

I sat down on the couch for a bit and decided to read first before leaving.

I noticed lately that my wife is ignoring me. Every time, I would strike up a conversation with her, she would run away. We haven't talked much these days, We don't talk a lot before but it's lesser now.

I spotted my wife sitting on the couch and reading. I was about to approach her when she suddenly stood up when she caught a glimpse of me. ❝Hey, Rem- ❞ I said but was interrupted. ❝I have to go now❞ She suddenly said. ❝Where are you going?❞ I asked her confused. ❝I'm hanging out with Sunghoon today❞ She left the house and was out of my sight. Why is she hanging out with another guy instead of me? Why am I sulking?
