Koganegawa sat next to Soyokaze, where they were originally sitting.
"GO KARASUNO!!!" Soyokaze screamed, with the biggest smile.
"LETS GO, LET’S GO, LET’S GO DATEKO!!!" Koganegawa yelled.
"Do you have any friends in Dateko?" Soyokaze asked as they turned to face him.
"Yeah actually! See the really, really big guy with white hair? Thats my senpai, Aone!" He said pointing him out.
"Wait- are you... are you in Date tech!?" Soyokaze asked him. Koganegawa laughed.
"Yeah actually! I'm Date tech's big boned setter!" He laughed. Soyokaze's eyes widened.
"You're a setter?!" They said as they got in his face once more. "That's so cool!! What's your favorite move?" They asked, leaning closer to the blonde male.
"My favorite move is probably a dump shot." He said with a goofy smile.
"Ooooouuu! Those are so cool!" Soyo said with bright eyes.
"I know right!" He yelled back.
"I actually play for Karasuno, and I always find it so cool just to see my senpais do dump shots!" Soyokaze stated.
"You play for Karasuno?" He asked. "That's so cool! Wait- does that mean that we'd be playing against eachother right now?" He asked looking at Soyokaze.
"Oh shit! We would" Soyo said as they looked back at the court.
"What position do you play?" He asked turning back to the court.
"Middle blocker. But i really want to be a libero." They said as they fiddled with the rips on their jeans. "But I'm really bad at receiving" They whined looking up at the ceiling.
"That sucks. If you want we can practice together maybe?" Koganegawa asked as he turned his attention to his shorter friend.
"I'd love to! But I won't be able to for at least a week or two." Soyo rolled their eyes.
"Is it okay if I ask why?" Koganegawa asked politely.
"Yeah, no, it's fine" Hikari laughed. "I sprained my ankle two weeks ago in a practice game with Nekoma."
"Oh... i'm sorry. Are you okay now?" He asked looking at their foot.
"Yeah no! I'm fine, its only a sprained ankle, and it's had two weeks to heal, I mean obviously it's still there, but it's fine!" Hikari assured him.
"That's good. Sprained ankles are the worst." Koganegawa laughed.
"Anyways, I have a question, why where you out at one am?" Soyokaze asked stretching out their legs to the seat infront of them.
"Oh, I actually don't know, I was bored, and my house was near the gas station, so why not!" He laughed. "What about you?" He turned to them.
"I was on my way to feed stray cats, and wanted a few things of my own." They smiled as they looked at Kageyama set to Hinata.
Around an hour later, Koganegawa and Soyokaze were still talking, even after the game was over.
"Oh shit, we gotta go" Soyokaze laughed as they stood up. They reached their hand out to Kogane, offering him help getting up. He grabbed their hand and stood up.
"We should get lunch!" He suggested, his eyes full of happiness.
"Yeah! I'd love too!" Soyokaze replied as they walked out of the court area, Kogane following closely behind. Suddenly, Soyo's phone began vibrating. "Hold on Kanji." They said picking up the phone.
"Hey Soyo, did you wanna hang out later?" Daichi spoke on the phone. Soyokaze frowned, then looked at Koganegawa who sat on the concrete outside of the gym, playing on his phone. They felt some kind of guilt.
"Maybe later tonight...? I'm about to go get lunch with a friend." They spoke, their voice filled with guilt. Sawamura sighed, over the phone.
"K. Whatever." He growled.
"We can hang out later ton-" They were cut off by the sound of him hanging up.
They shoved their phone in their pocket. A large frown formed on their face. Would I be a dick to cancel on Daich...? But I'd feel even worse about Koganegawa... They thought to themselves.
"UGh!" They groaned, throwing their head back. Soyo approached the gym doors. They opened the doors, as they did Koganegawa turned his head to them. "We still on for lunch? Or did you have other plans?" He asked, standing up. Soyokaze opened their mouth to speak. "Wait- I'm sorry if that was rude! If you have other plans that's completely okay!" He said bowing his head.
Soyo smiled. This guy's a total doof. It's cute. They thought. "We can still get lunch if you want. Do you have a place in mind?" Soyokaze asked him. Koganegawa's face lit up.
"Yeah actually!" He said smiling brightly. "There's this reay good Ramen shop down the road, that is if you like ramen?" He pursed his lips.
"I love ramen" They said looking him dead in the eyes, making a serious face.
