It was a shock, of course it was, but once the shock had faded, and a shot had raced through my very being, did I start to kiss back. His lips tasted like honey and cinnamon. His intoxicating aroma of fireworks, leather, and baked goods, just sent my senses into overdrive. Slowly, his arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me to my knees and into him. My hands slid up his arms and into his hair. It was short, but just long enough to grab onto. He groaned in response.

And just like that, I felt something inside me fuse together. As if this the was the most normal thing in the world. Sitting here, talking to him, kissing him, it felt right. And his tongue sliding across my lip, just made it even more real.
Pulling away was difficult, my chest was heaving, heart racing, and I still wanted more.
Looking at Fred, I knew he felt the same way I did.

One of his hands, slowly snaked up my side to cup my cheek. As if I'm a trance, he ran his thumb over my bottom lip, watching the way it pulled back and forth. I didn't want to just sit here and stare, I wanted to kiss him. I wanted him to kiss me until I couldn't think straight. I wanted more of him. More of Fred.
Sucking in a deep breath, I pushed the sudden feeling of lust down into a cave of nothing, and sighed.

"You're amazing, you know that." Fred whispered hoarsely, his eyes never leaving mine.

"So are you." I whispered back, my voice a little scratchy.

"I never want to stop kissing you." He whispered again, his head leaning forward to rest against mine.

"Then we're in agreement." I smiled, my arms resting lazily around his neck.

"I guess we are." He grinned, before kissing me softly and pulling back. "We better head back to the common room. Don't want to get another detention."

I looked down at my hand, it was still aching, but I knew that to Fred I was anything but a freak, and that's all that I cared about in the moment.

"Come find me Serenity. Come find me." A voice as clear as day danced through my head. At first it was low, almost a whisper, but now it was loud. Demanding attention. Flashes of a man that I recognized but couldn't place danced before my eyes.
"Come find me!"

Shaking my head, I looked out towards the lake. I don't know how long I have been here, but it was long enough to know that I wasn't asleep when the vision happened. I looked down and saw the black lines covering my wrists. With a few deep breaths, they vanished.

Christmas holiday was coming up. In fact it was next week.

Umbridge has been more relentless about discovering the DA, but Hermione, Harry, and I take care of that. Mostly me. The more I stayed in the Room of Requirement, the more I noticed my powers entwining with Hogwarts. I could manipulate the staircases, and enter any house I want to. It was scary how powerful I was, but even then that didn't begin to cover my full powers. Wandless magic, nonverbal spells, ancient spells, that all came naturally for me. And I was ready to learn to control it.

"We'll practice patronus's when we get back from holiday. Until then, practice as much as you can in your own. You all did brilliant." Harry said, as everyone clapped their hands.

"You guys were amazing, like Harry said keep practicing. Everyone please be careful out there. If you need one of us, use the coin or owl me. Now, everyone have a good break. We'll see you when we come back." I said with a grin.

My eyes caught Fred. I could see his grin from up here, and I wanted to rush over and kiss him silly. But Fred and I both agreed that we shouldn't tell anyone about us, not with Umbridge on the loose. I winked back, before Hermione, Ginny, and I headed back to the common room. Everyone was thank Harry and I, but I just shrugged them off and smiled.
