Chapter 1

"Kanchenjunga Millitary Academy" where soldiers are made who are determined to sacrifice their life for their country. *Shakti aur Samman* is the legacy of this academy.
Everything here is still same as it was at the time when those 6 cadets were there who are now at their destined places...just one thing has changed now that this academy no more irresponsible about their officers and soldiers. They respect them more now and are highly concerned about them.

Tomorrow is 15 August as usual preparations are going on..all cadets are busy in one or another work.
Abhimanyu is standing in the hall area having his back rested on a pillar..and he is watching the cadets very carefully.
Doc Shalini was passing from there and her eyes caught him. She slowly came to Abhi patted on his shoulders and said "Captain Abhimanyu kya soch rhe hain aap"..
He turned to her and said "kuch nhi bas yuhi"
Shalini smiled slightly and said.."in sare cadets ko dekh kar apko apko un logo ki yad aa gyi na..kaise vo sab bhi aise hi ye sari chije kiya karte the...kitna waqt ho gya un sab ko sath dekh hue mile hue"
Abhi: "shi kaha apne yaad to aati hai un sab ki unki baat hi kuch aur thi"
Shal: "Ek baat kahu in 4 saalon me kitni batches ayi aur gyi par kisi batch me itna apnapan aur unity nhi dekhi jaise unme thi aur aisi bonding kbhi mehsus hi nhu hui jaise un sabke saath hoti hai"
Abhi smiled slightly on this and they both got lost in some memories lane..
Suddenly Shalini remembered something and patted her forehead said "ofo in sab baton me mai to bhul hi gyi ki ma kha ja rhi thi..mai aap se hi milne aa rhi thi"
Abhi:"hmare pas..koi kam tha"
Shali: "bhul gye aap do din pahle apne mujhe btaya tha ki apko chest pain ki shikayat ho rhi hai usi silsile me..mai kuch checkup karke dwaiyan prescribe kar dungi"
Abhi: "arehh! Hum to bhul hi gye the chaliye"

*Infirmary*//

Shalini did some checkup and now they were talking..
"Captain aap apna khyal bilkul nhi rakhte...apka bp kafi badha hua hai..aur usi ki wajah se chest pain bhi ho rha tha....it's not good captain" Shalini said being concerned.
Abhi: "doc Shalini hum bilkul thik hai..ye bp to upar niche hota rhta iska hmari sehat se kya lena dena....she cut him in between "lena dena hai captain kaisi batein kar rhe hai aap...it can be dangerous"..she shighed and sat on a nearby chair and said "Captain I know aap cadets ko miss karte hai aur unse contact bhi nhi ho pata par vo to mai bhi karti hoon kafi.."she stopped abruptly..
Abhi looked at her she was lost somewhere...he smiled and asked her "aap bhi miss karti hai sabko??"
Shalini came of her thoughts hearing his questionire tone and looked at him he was looking at her questingly.."ofcourse Captain...maii...mainn sabko miss karti hoon kaisi batein kar rhe hai aap.!!...she said immediately in a fumbling tone..
"arreh nhi nhi hm jante hai ki aap sabhi ko yaad karti hongi magar hme lga ki unme se ekk ko to sepcially miss karti hongi jo ki apke beloved husband hain aur aap unse..." "Ohh Captain stop it please...aap mujhe tease karne ka ek bhi mauka nhi chorte"she said stopping him from balbering anything more.
Abhi:"Areeh hm to bas aapke dil ki baat keh rhe the aap to naraj ho rhi hain"
Shal: "Captain...apka checkup ho gya hai ab aap ye dawaiyan le kar jaiye"
She handed over him the medicines and he went out passing a silly smile towards Shalini. She blushed thinking about whatever Abhi said.

[*Yes Yudi and Shalini are married since last 2yrs. It's was never easy. Yudi has passed out the academy and went to join his posting in Goa.He has been loving Shalini form a long time but was never able to say it and now he is not even able see her. Shalini also liked Yudi very much.His innocent behaviour,humble nature,true self have always attracted Shalini towards him. But now when he was away from her she realised that she just don't like she just loves him.She wasn't glad with this realisation infact she was getting tensed thinking about many things but when she remembered what happened with Naina and Rajveer she became determined of getting her love.She contacted Yudi through mail and asked him to meet him once.When Yudi got a leave they met and confessed their feelings. Yudi told about him and Shalini to all 5 of them. They were all happy for Yudi. Naina was the happiest to know that Yudi got his love. Shalini was already frustrated with her marriage, her husband was never concerned about her.Finally with Yudi's support she filed for the divorce.Her husband who was so already wanting to get rid of her signed the divorce papers. Yudi's parents were already seeing girls for his marriage and when he asked permission to marry Shalini they didn't accept it first but when Naina's parents made them understand that having a son like Yudi is a blessing, they should think about his happiness.. they finally got ready for it. Yudi and Shalini got married within a week.All KMA faculty was invited to the wedding.BC was really happy for Shalin. This was last time when all 6 of them have enjoyed together*]

Abhimanyu was going towards his room but he was lost somewhere. His face was expressions were stressed. He stopped at the wall of fame and came towards the photo frame of Martyr Naveen Singh Ahluwalia.
"Naveen mere dost..aap se hme taqat aur vishwas milta hai aap jante haina...hme usi ki jarurat hai aaj."he said this all moving his hands on the frame with closed eyes...he continued.."'unhe' apke sath aur vishwas ki jarurat hia Naveen aap jante hain na kal ka din...he couldn't complete his sentence as an orderly came and said "Sir, apko Brigadier Chandok ne apne office me bulaya hai".
Abhi calmed himself cleared those tears from his cheek and turned towards orderly and noded in 'ok'.
Orderly went away from there. Abhi again looked at the photo frame of Naveen and went straight to meet BC.

*BC Office*//

"Sir apne hme bulaya"asked Abhi standing at the door.
BC who was busy with some files looked at the door and said" Areeh aao aao Captain..mai tumhara hi intejaar kar rha tha" and signed Abhi to sit.
"Captain kal 15 August hai aur KMA ke liye ek bahut bda din bhi...pahli baar hmari academy ke cadets 15 August ki parade me hissa lenge."
Abhi: "shi kha apne Sir ye hmari academy ke bahut bdi opportunity hai.. cadets Delhi pahuch to gye hia na"
BC: "ha vo sab vha pahuch chuke meri abhi abhi Captain Randheer se baat hui hai...waise ek baat puchni thi captain..cadets ke sath Delhi tum kyun nhi gye" hearing the question of BC his face expression changed immediately...he paused a little and said"hmne btaya to tha sir ki hme yhi bahut kam hai aur waise bhi Captain Randheer un sab ko jyada behtar samjhte hai isiliye"
BC was not so satisfied with answer still he just said "thk hai Captain... ye file hai KMA me arms ko aur efficient bnane ke liye hmne jo report taiyyar karni hai usi se related tum ise thk se dekh lena"
Abhimanyu took that file and took a leave from BC and went straight to his room.

Abhi was sitting on the bed and was lost in the memories of Raj and his friendship.. how he used to tease him..how they used to talk on random stuffs and how savagely they used to banter...and how shamefully he fought with him being in influence of his big 'ego'...and thinking this tears started rolling down from his cheeks..
He closed his eyes and immediately opened them and wiped the tears off.
"Kyun apne hme mna kiya kyun hme wha nhi ane diya....par..par hme aap par vishwas kal bhi tha aur aaj bhi hai.aap kamyab honge"he said with a determined face... Suddenly his phone satrted ringing and he picked up the call
"Hello"
"Jai Hind Sir"
"Don't worry sir everything is set there"
"As per your orders I didn't contacted him till now"
"Ok sir"
"Jai Hind sir"
The phone got cut from other side and he put his phone down.He layed down on the bed and was looking at ceiling and whole night passed like this only.
