Chapter 12

Note: In this chapter *Naina denotes Alekh and Nilu's daughter/chotu Naina

He did not say anything.
She takes out her hand from his hold. He closes his eyes being dismayed.
She turns her face away from him straightening her body,she inhale a deep breath and throws it out. By the time snowfall had slowed down.

Alekh was having a contrite expression on his face. He know she is a mindful girl but he had that thought in vain. He sighs and speaks up
"Dekh Naina..tu janti hai na apun tujhe samjhta hai...apun..apun janta hai ki tu......

"Pta hai Alekh....
Still not looking at him and he became quite.

"Jab bhi KMA ka jikra hota hai to...jehen me bahut sari baatein ati hain....ankho ke samne se pichla waqt gujar jata hai...vo academy sirf vo jagah nhi jhan maine training li.. passout hui...bahut sari yaadein hai whan... bahut kuch diya us jagah ne aur bahut kuch liya bhi hai...whan jane ka sochti hoon to...to lagta hai kya hai whan...wha ghutan so hogi... takleef hogi mujhe shayad bahut......

She said the end sentence that inflicted her all pain. Tears were at the verge of rolling down from her eyes but before they can she wiped them away through the corner of eyes.

All this while Alekh was listening her very carefully. He was looking at her with utmost heed and empathy.

"Par pata hai...
She turns to him,looking at his face.
"Takleef na kabhi kabhi zindagi ka important hisaa ban jati hai...aur hum chah ke bhi use apni se khtam nhi kar pate....

She put her one hand over his hand which was on the bench.

"Alekh mai chahti ya nahi chahti par wha jarur jati... it's an official thing...maine sikh liya hai apne andar se ladna...aur waise bhi kisine ne mujhe sikhaya hai... personal life ki kashmakash professional life ki duties par kbhi hawi nhi honi chahiye....unki sikh mai kbhi chota nhi hone de sakti"

He exactly knows about whom she is talking. His eyes were moistened. He couldn't take it anymore and took her into a side hug and she rested her head on his shoulder. Closing her eyes she tried to settle down the arduous emotions she was feeling right then.

After a moment she opened her eyes and got apart. She rubbed her face with both hands and let out a breath.

"To tu kab ja rha hai..." She asked.

Alekh- "Aaj hi aur tu bhi chal rhi hai apun ke sath.."

Naina- "Accha to aapne ticket bhi kar liya tha Captain shab.."

He made a displeased face and said "aree yaar Naina... tujhe kitna baar bola hai tu apun ko Captain mat bulaya kar..."

Naina- "kya problem Alekh...kyun chidta hai tu itna..."

Alekh- "chidta nhi hai apun....pta hai apun ko sabse zyada gussa kis baat ke liye ata hai?.."

She uplifted her eyebrows like questioning what's that.

Alekh- "isiliye ki apun ko terese door jana pada...accha khasa apun dono sath me training le rhe the...ye yeda log apun pe itna meharbani kiya apun ko pachta hi nhi..."

Naina- "seriously meharbani....Alekh tujhe jo bhi mila hai vo tu deserve karta hai...teri bhaduri aur kabiliyat ke liye pahle mili hai tujhe ye post..."

Alekh- "han han samjh gya apun...har baar tu yhi bolti hai..."

Naina- "accha chod...tu ye bata ki kaise jayenge...tune ticket sach me karaya hai mere liye bhi..."

Alekh- "nhi...karaya nhi tha...kyunki kara lunga ye socha tha...apun ek colleague dost hai uska bhai Air India me hai vo apun ke liye emergency me ticket nikalwa dega..."
