chapter three

    Today was the first day I had to train the new cadets for an upcoming misson later in the month.

I walked over to the Mess hall,ready to eat, I havent ate since last breakfast because of the paper work that had to been done yesterday.

The Messhall is full today,New cadets are stuffing their face with bread and other disgusting foods. Its awful seeing people like this all dirty and animal like i scoff.

I walk over to the superior table, where I see all the captains and commanders sitting. Hange always saved a spot for me, honestly it was nice but all i could show her was a head nod. Sitting down I Grabbed a Stale, cold piece of bread, the scouts dont get the best food but it maintained us and it was food so none of us could complain. after sitting down I see Levi sitting next to moblit but on the right of his side was Petra.

She wasnt the worst but she wasnt a captain nor was she a commander, simply she was only part of the levi squad as a Cadet. Before I became a captain I wasnt able to sit anywhere near the superiors, to be fair i was demoted fairly quickly but petra.

I see her talking as bubbly as she is, giving levi a cup tea slowly grazing each others hands. Could levi have been lying to me, could they have something going on. "What am I thinking, Levi is a auaintance, nothing more than that." I mumbled.

after an excruciating breakfast, I walk down to the stables where I take my horse and ride down to the training center meeting up with the Cadets and Levi.

Today was basic hand to hand combat, the cadets thought it was useless to learn hand to hand but I explained that a friend could become an enemy at any given time.
Me and Levi started off with showing them basic combay skills, swings and trips. Then we gave them directions to get with a partner and start fighting.

As I thought most of them sucked at this, I couldn't blame them, theyre all weak and sluggish.

I saw levi go over too petra who came along as well, she was certainly a great cadet but her conbat skills where as good as a 8 year old boy.

I learned how to fight when I was in the underground, My parents were poor and had to steal so we could have food and clothes sometimes, they taught me their tricks and soon enough they got caught but before they could be sent to jail...they killed themselfs infront of me.

I saw Levi help out petra with her punching, how could he let someone that weak work with him?

Since he was off helping petra, I figured I should helo out the other cadets. I started with helping sasha, she was a funny cadet I enjoyed her, next was jean. besides his short temper he was horrible at fighting, every time he sung I would dodge him because he used the left left right left method, if your Opponent was smart enough to figure out what you were doing then it was basically usless.

"Captain Y/N, One of you shirt buttons has come undone." jean said with a smirk creeping on his lips
"Thank you Cadet for informing me but I do have to remind you I an your captain and nothing else keep it professional." I sighed as i buttoned my shirt agin

"Yes captain I knowww but my 18th birthday was a week ago so it doesnt have to stay like that." He mumbled
"Cadet jean,im 29 almost 30 in a month, Im old and I dont think I should associate my self with some 10 years younger than me." I claimed as i looked him straight in the eye

"Wait Almost 30?!? I though you were in your early 20s i-i didnt know that wow, but still the only other options close to your age is commader erwin and captain levi and I dont think either of them are as good as me." He winked

"Cadet, 30 laps when we get back" I demanded

I walked away and went to a small bench under a tree close to where Petra and Levi were still combating, Petras 21 and levis 33 its an age gap but its legal,. I lied to jean im not turning 30 im turning 31 I just dont want to seem that old and worn down yet.

I look over to my right and see levi pinning petra on to the ground, face first.

"OW captain levi, that hurt." She said with a pathetic pout on her face.

"Well learn to handle pain cadet or should I just send you to work at the stables, maybe thats a better fit for someone as weak as you petra." He scoffed as he was walking over to the bench i was sitting on

" pathetic,petras weak I dont know why shes on my squad maybe Ill just kick her off and send her to hanges squad instead" he said

" hm she does seem to lack talent that much levi, she needs work done and I think shes getting there" I said while looking and the poor petra trying to get her self clean before coming and sitting in between the small distance Inbetween me and Levi
"But mabye shes starting to lack more talent then I think." I scoffed
He replied with a head nod before asking petra if he gave her permission to sit with us

Petra quickly got up and gave me a side look before going to fight with sasha. To be honest I dont think she likes me, I dont know why other from a reason hange told me . "She thinks Im to close to Levi" stupid girl I dont want anything to do levi.

"Y/N what was jean talking too you about, I heard him being inappropriate I could punish him for that little bitch." He scoffed

"He was being unprofessional but I handled it." I said in a Monotone voice "no need to worry"

He nodded as he gathered up the cadets, telling them to head back after four hours of training.

Once we got back I got walked to my office where I finished paper work erwin had left me and Levi.it wasnt much around 30 or so pages so I finished rather quickly, since I finished around 7:30 I decided it would be good to get a bite of bread before I do the paper work for tomorrow.

I walked over to the Mess hall grabbing a piece of bread and walking over to hit in the spot hange would save for me but today hange wasnt here so I sat down alone waiting too see if she would show up. After some time hange didnt show up so I headed back to my office and decided to do tomorrows paper work.
