They believe that their dead Clanmates are watched over by buzzards and a few minor deities. At death it is normal for the body of the Clanmates to be buried at the base of a buzzard nest, specifically the tree it is by. They will also leave catches of prey for the deities and the medicine cats have been taught to read signs from these birds. 

Clan speciality;
Heat resistance and the ability to dig very well, their paws being more scoop shaped to efficiently tunnel into the sand.
