book 2 chapter 7: Bismarck Vs. Hood (part 1)

After both Wales and Hood left Azur Lane in hopes of defeating Bismarck. QM2 followed them as the rain started to fall. Worried about his wife, Josh was at the lighthouse in the rain. He didn't know that his best friend Kaga (the battleship) followed him with a couple of umbrellas.

Josh: please come back safe...

Kaga (BB): Worried about your partner?

Josh: yeah. Bismarck has been after her for sometime now. By the way, Kaga. What brings you here to the lighthouse?

Kaga (BB): I was worried about you getting a cold as it is raining. (Hands him an umbrella) here.

Josh: thanks. I haven't seen Mary since her sister and Hood left.

Kaga (BB): she immediately followed them as a precaution.

Josh: she's always handy if the battle gets worse.

In The ocean near Azur Lane

Hood and Prince of Wales are searching the ocean for Bismarck but they haven't found her so far.

Wales: so far so good. Bismarck isn't seen as I thought, Hood. You?

Hood: nothing so far.

Then Wales's sonar pinged indicating a ship nearby.

Wales: there's a ship near us. (Through a radio) unidentified ship you're in an intercept course with us. Identify yourself.

Familiar voice: really, sis? Why would you want me to Identify myself when we're of the same ship class or roughly around there since my upgrade?

Wales: (surprised) MARY?! W-what are you doing out here?

QM2: wanted to give you two a hand with dealing Bismarck.

Wales: ok. But we'll need you as back up if necessary.

QM2: but-

Hood: please Mary?

QM2: alright.

The three continue their search for Bismarck. Hood suggested that they should split up to cover more ground for Bismarck. Hesitant about the idea, QM2 didn't think that it was a good idea. Having that they decided to split up. It was a massive mistake to make when the ship in question had suddenly ambushed Hood.

The two ships exchanged cannon fire. Little did Hood know, Bismarck wasn't alone when some torpedoes were heading towards her and was hit in the leg completely cutting it off. Hood fell to her knees.

Meanwhile.

Wales was trying to find where Bismarck was. But was shocked to see some smoke near her location and sailed to Hood's location. QM2 was looking through a telescope till she found the same smoke as well.

QM2: (to herself) this is why that I object to splitting up in the first place.
