book 2 chapter 11: the next phase

A few days later

Emerald, Franziska and their secretaries are planning something big to get back at Bismarck for trying to take Hood's life.

Yorktown: how about we take two separate fleets to take her out?

Emerald: (sarcastically) yea that should work, not.

Yorktown: sorry.

Franziska: what about three separate fleets?

New Orleans: doubt that would work, Fran.

Franziska: what do you think, Orlie?

New Orleans: don't know.

Then they heard a familiar voice before they came into the office.

Tirpitz: (offside) if you want my opinion, it's an armada instead of separate fleets.

Emerald and the others turned to see Tirpitz leaning against the door frame and were startled by her sudden suggestion.

Franziska: how's Josh doing?

Tirpitz: the usual place or the dry dock.

Emerald: (looks sad) oh

Tirpitz shurgs her shoulders and doesn't know what he's planning for her. She had told the other commanders about Josh's idea about upgrading her ship. Upon hearing that, Emerald was a little concerned.

Emerald: when you mention about having an upgrade, Tirpitz. Does that mean you'll be having Hood's cannons?

Tirpitz: come to think of it, I don't think so.

Franziska: how about we go to him and ask?

Tirpitz: sounds like an idea.

They head over to a dry dock where Josh is currently wearing a hard hat while the manjuus are busy working. He didn't know that his friends were looking for him.

Emerald: (to a manjuu foreman) where's Josh?

Foreman Manjuu: (points to Tirpitz's bridge) chirp.

Emerald: thanks.

They head to the bridge just as Josh was about to press a button for a turret to move.

Emerald: Josh?

Josh: (accidentally hit the fire button) yahh!

One of Tirpitz's turrets fires which scared the manjuu workers. Josh was angry when she arrived at the bridge with Tirpitz, Yorktown, New Orleans and Franziska.

Josh: geez, Em! How many times do I have to ask you about scaring me when I'm busy?!

Emerald: sorry about that. But I was wondering about how you're giving Tirpitz her upgrades.

Josh: by reinforcing her turrets and haul. But don't worry, I'm leaving Hood's ship alone. In case if you are wondering.

Emerald: oh, cool. It's good to see you back to your normal self again.

Josh: I still see her in the medical centre, Em. Thanks to Kaga keeping me in good spirits.

Emerald: Tirpitz suggested that we should have a combined armada to hunt Bismarck.

He has a think about the idea and has a look at the recently renamed Azur Crest which is currently sitting by its dock.

Josh: there's only one condition about doing the hunt.

Emerald: what's that?

Josh: I want Tirpitz to fight Bismarck.

Tirpitz: (background) alright. I've been always wanted to get her back for having to badly injured her.

Josh: ok. Now let's plan for our attack.

They leave the dry docks and head to the office.
