Snow Day

(edit: I wrote this story back in December) I went sledding IRL, so that's where I got this idea from. The characters are my persona (Camden) and a few of their friends (Jaiden and Abby). I didn't actually have any friends there when I went sledding Irl, just my annoying brother, but I wanted to add some other characters.

It was around 12 pm as Camden sat in their room, sitting at their desk typing away with their story on Wattpad. The snow outside was over a foot and a half deep. It was a perfect day to sit inside their warm cozy home and write some fanfics. They were getting deep into the chapter when they heard a little ping noise from behind them. Ah. They had gotten a text on their phone. It was from their friend, Jaiden.

Jaiden: Hiiiii I wanted to see if you could come sledding with Abby and I later, theres so much snow! It's the perfect day for it! We can meet up at that sledding hill near the park.

Camden thought about it for a second as their stared down at the small text on the screen. They had planned on staying in that day... It was quite cold out... but sledding with their friends did seem rather fun. They typed in "sure" to Jaiden, but also asked if they could have a little bit of time first. They really wanted to finish this chapter! Luckily Jaiden let them have a bit of time to finish up!

When they were done, they turned off their computer, and got all bundled up in a comfy winter coat. They texted Jaiden one more time to ask where the park was, since they honestly had no clue, and Jaiden gave Cam some directions. They left their house, and went to meet up with their friends.

They went to the spot where Jaiden said they would all meet up to be greeted by Jaiden and Abby already their, holding sleds in their hands. Of course Camden was the last to show up.

"Hey!" Abby said when she saw Camden arrive, "Where have you been?! We've been waiting for you!"

"Sorry, I got a little lost on the way here." Camden replied, "I've never been to this place before."

"You haven't?" Jayden asked, seeming a little surprised.

"No, of course not! You know I don't like parks."

"ok yeah, fair. Now what are we waiting for, lets actually go to the hill!"

both Cam and Abby nodded and began following Jaiden to the hill, since he was the only one who knew where it is. As they approached it however, Cam noticed something that made them a little nervous.

"That's a really big hill... They pointed out, glancing up at the large steep slope.

"Well, yeah." Jaiden replied, "did you think we'd go to some baby hill? No! I wanna have fun!"

Cam nodded, not wanted to tell Jaiden how nervous they felt. They glanced over at Abby. She didn't seem nervous, so why should they?

It felt like forever before all three friends made it to the top of the hill, already Cam felt exhausted. They know it had only been around three minutes of climbing up the stairs placed to get up the hill, but they were not a very physical or active person. Neither were Abby and Jayden though, and They could see how tired both of those two looked. But nonetheless, Jaiden still had an excited glimmer in his eyes.

"are Y'all ready?" He asked.

And this was when the anxiety Camden had been pushing down the entire time truly started to break through. They felt their heart beat faster and they struggled to control their breathing. They tried to cool and calm and not let it show, but Cam was really not good at that.

"Cam are you ok?" Abby asked, noticing how stressed Camden looked.

"I..." They said, debating on what to say, "I- I can't do this."

aaaaand thats where I got lazy and decided not to finish it and come back later.
