Noor: 20

The lights outside her room screamed in her eyes as she sat up. Her head hearting with so much pressure. "Mama!!" she yelled as she got up from her bed. She scattered her way into the closet to chose out her outfit of the day.

Hmm.. today was gonna be simple.. all she had to do was her college classes and maybe some after lessons. Her curly black hair that was up to her shoulders was a mess. maybe she should take a shower, she thought.

"Ugh, Noori, you smell!!!" a smirky voice peaked from the back.

"Shut up Ahad. You want to die today!!" She said as she took of her chappal. Ahad quickly ran out before she could throw it at him. Maybe she should shower. She quickly grabbed her clothes and ran into her bathroom to shower.

As she came out of the bathroom, she look at herself in the mirror.

She looked pretty decent. She didn't were a hijab. It was nothing personal, she just never took the step, but she was always careful about her clothes. Blending in was her goal. Her being 5'10 wasn't helpful to blending in. She was always taunted that she won't find a husband because she was "too tall" to be considered a woman.

Shaking her heads to these thoughts, she grabbed her tote bag filled with her books and pencils. Rushing down the stairs, she bumped into Saad, her favorite cousin and best friends, Ahad's , older brother.

"Sorry Bhai..." she said. he always intimidated her. He was a total introvert. Heck, the only time he ever smiled was when he found out Ahad came to visit. Saad just nodded and walked away. "Karoos.." she mumbled as she walked into the dining hall.

She lived with her grandmother. A few years after her brother went of to college, her father got a heart attack and passed away. Noor, of course, was very hurt. She didn't talk to anyone for weeks, just sitting in her room. Her mother finally decided to move to Pakistan with her mother in law. Their relationship was very odd. They were close, like mother and daughter. Anhil stayed in his college as he wanted to finish it. She truly missed him, but she had Ahad, her best friend who was her older brother like. Her thayi lived with their grandmother. They had two children as well, Saad and Ahad. Well Saad you already met, he was a businessman, took over his father's company. Ahad, on the other hand, was a disappointment to his father as he wanted to become an engineer instead. Before their father passes away, he forgave him, also giving him the duty of finding a good man to marry Noor. She just laughed at that.

"Ammi!! Tell Ahad to drop me nahh!!" Noor said as Ahad said no to dropping her off.

"Come in Ahad, she's your little sister!!" Her thayi said as she handed Noor her lunch. She thanked her and dragged Ahad to his car.

"Ugh motti let go of me!! I can walk" Ahad said. He instantly regretted his words. Motti? How dare he!!

"Kis ko motti bola? Kadoo.." (Who did you call fat? Pumpkin..) she said as she sat in the car. Ahad just chuckled and shook his head at her childness.

As they reached the college, Ahad reminded her that he can't pick her up today, so Saad was going to. Ugh, her whole mood was down. That idiot was just going stop her from eating pani puri. Her thoughts was interrupted as she suddenly fell from a hard hit on the shoulder.

"Don't you have eyes idio-" she began to speak as she saw who it was. "You..."
