SAAD'S Point of View
Office was my safe place. Abba left me all the responsibilities of his company. Ahad was never interested in working, no matter how much money I told him he could earn. All he cared about was me, amma, and Naima. It was always Naima this, Naima that. I was walking down the stairs when suddenly someone bumped into me. I look down to see Naima. Think about her, she appears. I'm mesmerized by her that I zone out until I see her looking at me waiting to respond. Not knowing what she said, i thought it best just to nod and walk away.
Shit
Why do I always not know what to say when it comes to her. I shake my head and realize I left my purse upstairs. I walk when I see ammi walking upstairs. "Saad! Baat suno" (Come Here) she says. Wondering what she has to say, i walk to her.
"Jee ami" (yes mom)
"Ahad can't pick up Naima today. Please pick her up from college. I know she hates you and you hate her but please put it aside for today." She said looking at me pleadingly. I nod, not missing the chance to see Naima again, alone, with me. Astagfrullah. I Shake my head and go into my room.
This will be a long day.
6 hours later
I wrapped up everything at work. I knew if i was even a minute late, Naima would literally kill me. i sat in my car as I drove to her college. Naima should be out by now. I was looking around when I saw something. Someone, to be exact. Naima and that idiot Zaid. I told him to stay away from her. I'm going to kill him. I saw Naima Shake away her hand from him and walk towards me. oh allah why does she make me so mad sometimes.
