it was playtime but one person wasnt acounted for. instead of making a scene moondrop slinked around the edge of the play area to check on them himself. others noticed him with ablanket and pillow, quieter as he walked. nobody knew why he was out. they couldnt ask even if they had the curage to.
he held the blanket over his head as a light shield. finding them in the corner just behind the end of the security desk. "my star whats wrong.?" his voice was quiet and slow as if it were still naptime. he dropped and blanket on their head before sitting next to them.
everything he said sounded like the songs he would sing. even curled in a cold ball it was comforting. "i dont fit anywear.. when i go to play they all leave..." tears rolling down their cheeks as moondrop gives them a pillow to hug.
their face thrown in the pillow they clutched it tight. "w-why does everyone want to get rid of me... i have to be somewear... i dont want to take up so much space. im just a waste of air!" sobbing into the pillow their cry was all muffled in the pillow.
bringing the blanket around them moondrop ruffled their hair. "i know how you feel- is home like that too..?" he watched them nod slowly. hicups bubbling out of their cry.
"here, come here my star- it's unfair they have all treated you like this.." he held his arms out to them, getting a head floping down onto their lap. he gently brushed their hair. "if it helps you will always be welcome to take up space here."
they sniffled, looking up as they turned on their back. "w-where.." he put a hand over his chest. "right here. may it be my heart or the space between my arms to hug, if im around you will always have a place right here." they whiped their tears with a stifled breath, "r-really..?"
he nodded giving a rare and soft smile. even his red eyes settled down a million times less piercing. "your too good of a kid to be feeling so bad. i wish i knew earlier i can come out for playtime if you'd like. you are one of my favriote stars after all" he booped them on the nose getting a laugh from them
"really? i mean that much to you?" he nodded giving them another ruffle of the hair. "dont let anyone know i have favriotes. i dont need to be hated any more-" he chuckled and y/n sat up. "well you will always have a place with me too!"
he raised a brow, "oh yeah?" he asked playfully. "right here!" they hugged him, resting in his arms a moment. "dont tell anyone,, but your my favriote too." smiling a toothy grin as y/n sat up. moondrop sighed softly, glad to see them smiling again.
"now tell me who is being mean to you-" he was back to normal ol moon but in their eyes he will always be a warm hug. he cracked his knuckes. "sun- we have trubble makers-"
