As me and Jay drive to the event, I start to get more and more anxious. "Ray, I never asked you why dude calls me Bootsie." He says as he pulls on the street of the event. I roll my eyes and chuckle. "Remember when you first got hired and you came in to ask me a question? Drell was in the room and you didn't see him and all he could see was your shoes. You had on boots that day." He laughs loudly and smiles. "People liked those boots so." We pull up to the building and it's a hotel. "I hate rooftop parties." I say as he pulls to the valet and speaks with him for a second before getting out of the car and coming to my door letting me out."let's get this show on the road." As we walk up to the entrance of the hotel I hear a voice call from behind me. "Raven is that you?" I turn my head slightly and see one of Drell's co-workers. Kelly. She runs up and hugs me before I have a chance to protest. "How are you Hun? I know Drell's been at home a lot lately. He's missed most of the work retreats." She says as she turns to Jay. He smiles and he holds his hand out "Kelly this is my best friend Jay." I say and look at her squinting. "Has Tanya been at the retreats? I know they're pretty good friends." "Girl no she don't come to shit. I'll see y'all inside though." She walks away and I nod to myself. "Oh that bitch." I grab Jay's arm tightly and spin back to the entrance. "Let's go." He rubs my hand before opening the door and walking me towards the elevator. I press the button and smile a little bit. "We should check off one of my goals Jay." He looks at me confused and says "What do you mean by that?" I laugh a little more and walk towards the elevator that's about to open. A group of business types walk out of the elevator and Jay steps in with me after they've cleared out. I press the button and wait for the door to close and the elevator to take off.

I turn to Jay and smirk before I kiss him passionately and he seems taken aback by it at first but quickly understands what I mean. He picks me up and sets me on rail of the elevator running his hands over my breasts and sides in my dress. I pull back a little bit and slide my hand over his dick in his pants smirking a little bit. He takes a deep breath and tries to calm himself down. "We can always get a room here tonight." I smile and kiss him again biting his lip a little bit before sliding off the rail slowly and moving from in front of him as the elevator stops. I fix my dress and turn to him. He looks at me in awe for a second before straightening himself up. When the doors open there is a light bit of jazz music playing in the background and Jay let's me step out first before he does. I look around the room and I see Drell talking to a random white man with a bald head and assume he is an executive. He waves in my direction and I almost walk towards before realizing Tanya is standing closer up at a table with a glass of red wine. She's wearing a cream skin tight dress and I turn to Jay nodding at an empty table. Me and Jay head toward the table and a waiter comes by with champagne and bourbon and I grab a glass. "Thank you. Jay do you want anything?" He shakes his head and says "I'm driving." I nod and lean against the table my back turned to where Drell is. "I appreciate that. Asshole likes to drink and drive. They'll be walking around with food and stuff soon." He touches my hand and smiles. "I'll be sure to stop them because you won't." I laugh a little bit and Jay's face changes. "Behind you." I turn around and Tanya is behind me with her arms open. "Hey girl!" I smile fakely and give her a church hug. "I know this bitch is not hugging me. When I know she fucking my boyfriend." I think to myself as she lets go. Drell walks up and gives me a kiss on the cheek and says. "Bootsie! Thank you for coming with her. Me and Tanya are gonna be working on pitching things all night." Jay nods and says "No problem. She's always great company." Tanya grabs my hand and I stare at her for a second. "I think we should hang out sometime soon. Drell is always telling me how amazing you are." I nod and say "Because I am amazing." She lets my hand go and I turn back to Drell. "Hey can I see your phone for a second babe?" Jay reaches for his pocket and plays it off and Drell reaches for his pocket and says "Tanya you still have my phone." She looks like she just got caught doing something and hands it to me unlocking it. "I'll grab it from you in a second." Drell says as he waves at the waiter grabbing a drink and nods to someone across the room. Him and Tanya run off to the other big heads of their company and I immediately start looking for the video again. This time I scroll through more pictures and videos than before and I land on one that doesn't show Tanya's face. "Seems like they've been busy. We have just enough time to eat." I say as a waiter comes by and Jay waves them down getting me a shrimp cocktail. "We can split it." I nod and start eating one of the shrimp. "Ray you sure you're ready for this?" He says as he eats one of them too. "Hell yes. They've been hurting me for months." I look into his eyes and get everything ready to airdrop the video to all the iPhones nearby. "Plus her face isn't in it but his is" I eat another shrimp. Tanya and Drell are still talking when I look at them. I look around the room and roll my eyes. "There's a lot of white women in this room alone. She's good." We listen to the music for a while and Drell starts to head back towards us. "Now or never." I sigh and press send and clear everything out after it's sent. I smile at Drell and pass him his phone.

"Checking to see when your doctor's appointment was." He sticks his phone in his pocket and smiles. "Oh it's not until next week. You're so considerate though. Alright well y'all enjoy the party." I smile and he rubs my shoulder before he heads back off into the crowd of people. Jay is looking around the room and scanning seeing a few people in a group pick up their phones and their eyes get wide at the same time. "I think we got traction." He says and looks back at me. "You gonna be okay?" I nod and look at my phone and quickly delete the notification. "We'll leave in a second." I wait for another minute and Kelly shuffles over to me. She says "Don't check your phone. I didn't know it was going on but I will say it's best to leave now. He doesn't deserve to give you an explanation. If you want to check it, check it in the car" I give her a look of concern. "What's going on?" I look around towards where Tanya and Drell are at and see one of their higher ups about to tap Drell's shoulder. "Raven leave now before this bitch goes up in flames." I nod and grab my things and finish my glass of champagne. "Jay let's go." We head towards the door and as we do I hear Drell calling my name behind us. Jay puts his arm around me and keeps me walking forward to the elevator. As the doors open Drell gets close to the entrance and sees us. "Raven wait hold on." We step inside and press the first floor button and the close elevator button. He starts to run a little faster and gets close to the elevator and it closes in his face. I sigh and reach for Jay's hand without looking at him. "He's probably just going to try to pay everything off. But he definitely is going to try to get into my apartment tonight so I'm going to have to use the internal lock." I say while staring at the doors of the elevator. I feel Jay's eyes on me and he squeezes my hand a little bit. "It's okay to be upset still." He says and I nod. The elevator reaches the first floor and he leads me to the valet lot and I stand next to him waiting for the car. "Raven!" I hear Drell calling from behind us out of breath. "I don't want to talk right now." I face him and look him in the eye. He looks at me confused and sad. "I didn't want you to find out like this. I don't know if Tanya leaked it or what happened." My eyes get wider and I give him a death glare. "I didn't even know it was her until now. It makes sense though. With the hickies on your neck even though I haven't had sex with you in months. I saw those this morning and didn't say shit" He touches his neck and sighs. "Look I'm sorry but we can work this out." I laugh and say "Absolutely not. The apartment is in my name, you haven't paid rent since we moved in it. I hope you and Tammy have enough room in her place. You can get you shit while I'm at home one day but do not speak to me." As I finish speaking the valet pulls up with Jay's car and Jay opens the door for me. "Ooooh I see, Jay's being your knight in shining armor with his sensitive ass." I get in the car and Jay steps over to where Drell is and crosses his arms speaking to him in a calm ass tone. "I advise you learn to be a little bit more considerate. She took care of your bum ass for years. please don't try to make her feel bad for having someone who listened to her cry because you're a dirty liar." Jay walks away and gets in the car taking a second before driving away. "I'm not going to cry tonight, but tomorrow? That shits gonna hit me. Hard."
