Chapter 6- Close yet so far

Taehyung's POV:

"Blue Green Coffee shop..." My steps halted when I heard that name. I didn't think about catching that person anymore now, the only person I thought about was Y/n. I can't let anything happen to her

"Hyung, get the cops and meet me at that coffee shop, HURRY!" I yelled

"What's so hurry-" I cut him off my saying,

"Y/N IS IN THE SHOP WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND! HURRY!" I yelled disconnecting the call. Unlocking my call, I was about to drive when a thought strike my mind

"I should warn her about this..."

[Meanwhile: Blue Green Coffee Shop]

".... after the audience are seated, the director of the library will give a speech. But the thing is do you want to start the book reading right after it or after some time?" I questioned reading the documents 

"I think it should be after some time, or I think people might get bored" Jungkook replied making me chuckle 

"Okay then-" we were cut off when my phone started to ring

Checking the caller id, it was from Mr. Vice Chairman. As far as I know, he's supposed to be in a meeting but if he's calling me, it must be something urgent

"Jungkook, I'm sorry but I've to take this call" I said getting up from my chair

"Sure, I'll finish my coffee till then" He replied sipping his coffee

I went outside the Café to receive the call

"Hello-"

"Thank god you are okay, Y/n!" I heard Mr. Vice Chairman gasp from the other side

"I am okay but wait... are you calling me while driving?!" I asked when I heard car honking and the sound of traffic

"Yes I am but-"

"How could you!? What if something happens to you huh?! What if-" this time he cut me off my saying,

"Y/n-ah, listen you can scold me as much as you want later, but right now I want you to do something" He sounded anxious making me calm down. I understood that there was definitely something wrong

"Mr. Vice Chairman, what's wrong?"

"Ask the two bodyguards to meet the owner of the Café and shut the shop down but don't let anyone go out of the shop, no one!"

"Why, what's wrong?" I asked again

"That phone number I told you about, it was last switched off in the Café you are right now. I think that person is keeping an eye on you. As far as I know, that person must be still there. Me and Namjoon Hyung will reach there in a few minutes with police till then, shut the Café and don't let anyone get out. Hurry!" He yelled disconnecting the call making me rush towards the two bodyguards standing next to the car

"Mrs. Kim, is anything wrong?" One of the bodyguard asked 

"Meet the Café owner and ask him to shut down the café but don't let anyone out. It's an order from Mr. Vice Chairman. Tell them, Mr. Vice Chairman will be here with police in a few. Hurry!" I said in a hurry as the two of them rushed inside to meet the owner of the Café

Entering the Café, Jungkook came rushing to me witnessing the tension in the air

"Y/n, what's wrong?"

"I'll tell you everything later but for now, I need your help" I spoke 

"Yes anything you need" He replied

"Help the two bodyguards close the shop. Mr. Vice Chairman will be here with the police in a few. I'll explain everything later" I said

"Sure. Wait, I'll wash my hands from the washroom and come really quick" He said and was about to leave when I said,

"Jungkook, don't let anyone get out. No one" He nodded and went inside the washroom while I waited for Mr. Vice Chairman to come soon.

[Time skip: 20-30 minutes later]

The air was thick. People were scared inside the Café thinking as if they were taken hostage by a group of terrorist or something. I tried calming everyone but everything went in vain. All I wanted was Mr. Vice Chairman to come as soon as possible

"HOW MUCH MORE TIME DO WE NEED TO STAY LIKE THIS?!" A man yelled among the group of the people

"Sir, please calm down" I said trying to calm him down

"No, don't you dare tell me that! WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON AND YOU EXPECT US TO CALM DOWN?!" He yelled as the others nodded and started gossiping

Just then, we heard the door of the Café open, revealing Mr. Vice Chairman followed by a group of policemen. Letting out a sigh of relief, I walked up to him followed by Jungkook

"I want everyone to stay calm. We are suspecting someone dangerous to be among everyone. Mr. Kim, the number is switched on right now isn't it? Call the number" The police officer said. Mr. Vice Chairman dialed the number. Everything was getting tensed every moment

Just then, we heard the ringing of a phone. The police immediately rushed to the origin of the sound and captured a man hiding in one corner of the Café. The man tried struggling but it was all of no use. The police officer snatched the phone from him, handing it over to Mr. Vice Chairman

"Y/n-ah, is this your dad's phone?" He asked handing over the phone to me

Unlocking the phone, my eyes felt on the wallpaper. It was of me and Jimin which was taken by dad. Yes, it was his

"Yes, it's his" I replied trying my best not to breakdown

"Officer, it's her dad's" Mr. Vice Chairman said making the officer nod

"Thank you, Mr. Kim, we'll take care of him. Arrest him" He said arresting the man 

But something was odd. It somehow didn't feel right

"I don't think it's right" I mumbled catching his attention

"Y/n-ah, what's wrong?" Mr. Vice Chairman asked me

"It just doesn't feel right"

"What doesn't feel right?" He asked again

"If that person has been so careful from the start. If he has managed to stay hidden for all these years, then why out of the blue would he keep the phone switched on if he's been keeping it switched off all the time?" I questioned. There was a moment of silence until when Mr. Vice Chairman tried to speak

"Y/n-ah..."

"Mr. Vice Chairman, that person isn't that dumb to leave the phone switched on..."
