Chapter 2- Broken relationships

"I feel like.... I feel like someone's watching us"

"What do you mean?" 

"After we go married, I've always felt like someone's watching us, 24/7" I mumbled 

"Y/n, if you're trying to scare me then it isn't going to work-" I cut him off in the middle 

"No that idiot! I feel like someone's keeping an eye over us all the time-" This time he cut me off in the middle by saying 

"Wait, did you just call me an idiot?" He asked with a raised eyebrow as realization hit me

"Mr. Vice Chairman-"

"Did you just call, the most handsome man in the world, one of the top 3 businessman and the Vice Chairman of Kim Corporations, the Kim Taehyung, an idiot?!" There he goes again. Praising himself for absolutely no reason but this time I decided to act bold

"I did, so what? Even if you fire me, I'll be with you anyways"

"What am I going to do with you!?" He mumbled making my chuckle a bit 

"Nothing, just love me and never leave me"

"Hmm... I love you" He said pecking my cheeks

"I love you too" I replied pecking his lips again

"OH MY HOLY SHIT!" We pulled away to see Jimin standing with a rather satisfied expression

"I- Jimin, get out!" 

"Why! It's live porn! I don't have money for subscription anyways" He said feeling proud as I smacked his arm

"Idiot! Go and focus on your job!" Mr. Vice Chairman spoke this time

"Umm... I quit the job" Jimin mumbled

"WHAT!?" Both of us yelled in union 

"Geez. I had my reasons" He replied. Somehow I felt as if he was silently struggling with something. Being a cheerful person, I knew he would never show it but I've known him for years

"Mr. Vice Chairman, can you wait here? I want to have some talk with Jimin" I spoke to which he nodded as I excused us and dragged Jimin along with me cause he didn't want to come, being a brat which he is

[Time skip]

"Jimin, it's been 25 minutes. Can you please tell me what happened before I hit you with that freaking table lamp!" I slightly yelled but calmed down soon after 

"Fine! I quit my job"

"I know that idiot! You told me that for 10 times! Tell me why!" I slightly yelled

"Fine! Firstly, my girlfriend cheated on me. I started being late on jobs because of messed up sleeping schedules and I didn't how to cook so eating ramen always didn't help and I used to get sick often so my boss fired me then-" Before he could say anything else, I hugged him. Tears rolled down my eyes

"Hey! Are-e you okay?" Jimin asked hugging me back as I shook my head

"No. I'm a bad sister. I wasn't there with you when you needed me the most. I promised to take care of you but at the end I left you. I'm so sorry Jimin" I spoke finally breaking down into tears

"Y/n-ah, don't cry. It isn't your fault. My life is just messed up" He mumbled while I kept crying

Minutes passed, I was still hugging him

"Y/n"

"hmm"

"Could you like get off? My shirt is completely soaked" hearing his comment, I let go off him and smacked him earning a chuckle from him 

"Don't ever keep anything to yourself from now on! Don't make me feel like a bad sister" I spoke while pouting

"Alright Alright. Thank you for coming"

[Time skip: At our apartment]

"Yes, Hyung... The meeting with the board members for this week is postponed because Mr. James decided to visit us once again after the successfulness of his new perfume... yes... I'll take care of that...yes"

I heard Mr. Vice Chairman talking on the phone. Maybe he is busy. I shouldn't disturb him right now, I don't wanna copy 200 pages after this. Deciding to watch some TV, I went in the living room. Switching on the TV, the news flashed,

"Park Min-Young, who was arrested 2 years ago for attempt to murder will be released tomorrow from Seoul central jail"

An unknown fear ran down my entire body giving me goosebumps. No matter how much I show I'm doing okay, those memories still haunt me. Caressing the mark on my stomach, I gulped. Just when someone back-hugged me making me flinch as I was about to hit the person with the remote when a familiar scent reached my nose. I knew this scent, very well. Turning around, I was faced with Mr. Vice Chairman

"Were you just going to hit me?" He questioned 

"I-... no-o... of cour-se not" I stuttered 

"Really? Then why are you stuttering?" Shit! He caught me

"Do you want to copy 200 pages again?" He asked to which I immediately shook my head in a 'no'

"Good. Then why did you try to hit me? Were you scared of anything?"

"That" I replied pointing at the television with the news. He immediately understood what was wrong which is why he patiently took a seat next to me, warmly embracing me

"Y/n-ah, remember what I told you whenever you are scared of something?" He warmly asked making me feel at ease. Nodding, I replied,

"Think of the things which make you smile"

"Yes. Whenever you are scared, good things makes you feel at ease so always think about them okay? Like right now, what makes you smile the most?" He asked

"When you almost left for a meeting in your floral summer shorts" I said and started laughing 

"Hey! That was a accident!" He protested 

"Really? but it seriously was so funny!" I started laughing again remembering the incident

"You little..." we were interrupted with a phone call. It was Mr. Vice Chairman's phone. 

"Wait, I'll answer this" He said and excused himself

Taehyung's POV:

Excusing myself, I went to my room to attend the call. It was from an unknown number

"Hello-"

"Mr. Kim Taehyung"

 "Yes?"

"How's your wife? I heard she survived even when she was stabbed just at the right part of the stomach which would've been enough to kill her" I froze at my place

"Who is it"

"Aish, I needed more trained people. Min-young wasn't enough I guess"

"What nonsense is this!? Who the heck are you?!" I almost yelled

"Min-young is getting released tomorrow right? I wonder what she'll do once she's out. After all, she still has to deal with your wife right? Farewell, Mr. Vice Chairman"

"Hey! HEY! WHO THE HECK ARE YOU-" before I could say anything, the call was disconnected. I tried calling it again but no use. But what did the person mean by all this?
