She was engulfed in darkness as she stumbled through the misty forest, the trees arched overhead as if to purposely shield the darkness within.

She smiled at the thought, almost laughing at the idea of something protecting the dark. Wasn't darkness something people wanted to be protected from?

Suddenly it dawned on her that here she was completely submerged in darkness and yet she was calm, heck she almost laughed a second ago.She wasn't shivering in fear, she didn't know where she was nor where she was going but she found herself oddly comforted in the company of nothing but shadows.

It was weird, she hadn't realised this before but she had never feared the dark the way others did. Even now with no light, sound or sense of direction she didn't feel lost, she simply trusted the dark to lead her.

Her slow stumbling movement continued until the path before her eventually opened up into a dimly lit clearing. There was a strange sense of satisfaction that came with the outcome of following the shadows, was she feeling... pride?

The moment her presence was confirmed in the clearing, it began to lighten up. Strange  glowing dust-like things began to flutter around. It got brighter the longer she looked, that's when she noticed the majestic waterfall in front of her, how she didn't notice that first was a wonder to her.

There was a young man that stood next to the flowing water, he had his back to her as he played with some sort of living shadow!?

He was as majestic as the scene around him with a god-like aura and it was almost terrifying, but when he looked up at her she was stunned. He wasn't terrifying anymore, he was ..familiar.
Someone important.

The beautiful woman at his side hummed as she swiped her palm along the surface of the water , the melody was as enchanting as her red eyes that gleamed with a certain hint of chaos?

The red-eyed woman was not humming for the shadow-man, she realised. She was humming to the shadows that danced around them, around her palm.

Their eyes flashed with recognition as they gazed at her and they smiled patiently as if they'd been waiting for her forever.

A flash of movement startled her, drawing her attention to the left. There sprawled on the branch of a large silver-oak tree was a reddish-brown haired man. He smirked at her, his aura reeked of mischief but she could see it. Something more in his eyes, she saw...
