Roughly a month later Eitri was recovering from surgery, He had prosthetics created by Bruce and he was doing well. Today was Peter's birthday, he woke up early, sneaking out of the room careful to not wake the guard dogs, he put on his nicest outfit before heading to the kitchen. When he arrived he ate some eggs and orange juice before writing a note telling the others he would be back in the afternoon. Before heading to the garage hopping in his, he headed to a neat toy store, not noticing the car following him. He walked inside and bought many toys before putting them in his car. He then headed to the store and bought $1,000 in gift cards, since Pepper gave him a debit card hooked to his own money from taking over the company. Before throwing it in the car as he was getting ready to enter he felt someone following him so he said "If you're going to follow me, you might as well join me." As He looked back Clint stepped out smiling as he said "I don't want you to be alone." Peter nodded understanding as he held the door Clint jumped in, before texting Friday to send his car home. Peter got behind the wheel and took off as Clint said "So, what's the plan for your birthday?" Peter smiled and said "I'm dropping these toys and gift cards off at a local orphanage, and me and the owner go way back. Me and May always brought the toys I did not use anymore, or clothes here for my birthday." Clint smiled and said, "That's really nice Peter." Peter just nodded as they arrived. Ben walked out and said "There's the birthday man, the big 1 8!" Peter walked up hugging him as he said "Ben, nice to see you. This year was a bit bigger than normal, and had some extra money." Ben smiled as he said "well, with this snapping thing ,we could always use a bit more, we've been at full capacity for months." Peter smiled and nodded as he said "I brought a friend, this is Clint Barton." Ben looked at him and said "Your Hawkeye, the kids are gonna go crazy." Clint smiled and said "Well, shall we?" As he opened the trunk the three men carried in multiple arms full of new toys, Ben popped cinnamon rolls into the oven as a treat, while Clint and Peter opened the toys and put those that needed it together. As the kids woke up, the older ones who had been there for a while knew Peter would be there so they helped everyone get ready before walking down together. After breakfast Clint got pulled by some of the smaller children into a nerf war. Peter sat with the older kids as they asked questions Before shooting them off to save the kids from Clint, the teen ganged up on the man as he walked over to Ben and Peter he said "Those children are ruthless." Peter smirked as he handed the gift cards to Ben as he said "Just in case you need them, I uhm, yeah you deserve it." Ben smiled as he hugged Peter as he said "I don't know what I would do without you or your Aunt Pete." Peter smiled a few tears coming down his face as he said "Yeah, she was kind like that, I can only hope those she affected carry it forward." Ben smiled gently as Clint asked "What was she like?" Ben said "She was one of the kindest and most generous people you would meet. Unless you upset her then she was scarier than anyone." Clint smiled as he said "So like Pepper" Peter nodded to his question as Ben said "I remember one time, before I opened the orphanage, I walked into the food center, she never questioned you on why or how, she just smiled and served food, she would walk around and talk to anyone who need it. I thought I would die that day instead, she said stay as long as you need. That night I didn't sleep cold, because of her I changed my life." Clint cried a bit as did Peter before going on to happier thoughts as soon as they left as they got in the car Peter said "How do you feel about helping out the food drive?" Clint smiled and said "I would be happy to." Peter smirked as he drove to the food drive, parking in the back they walked in as they entered Peter got a few cheers and some hugs, alongside a few 'sorry for you loss' As Peter explained they wanted to help out, so Clint and Peter helped pass out food for lunch before saying goodbye, Peter donated some money, Clint watched carefully as some workers cried in thanks Peter just smiled hugging them goodbye. As they got in the car Clint said "Why do you do what you do?" Peter seemed shocked for a moment before he said "When you have the power to help, whether it's a penny, stopping a fight, you help where you can." Clint nodded the words hitting deep as Peter said "My uncle Ben, when I was 14 we got in a fight, it was a week after the spider bite, he chased me but got caught by a robber I could have stopped, instead he got shot, bleed out in my arms, his last words 'with great power, comes great responsibility', I have lived by those words since." Clint nodded as he said "Those are above your bed." Peter nodded as he said "When tony recruited me for the civil war, he asked me different questions about why i do this. He took what I said to heart, when he made me my area he added that." Clint nodded, smiling gently as he said "So, what do you do next?" Peter smiled gently as he said "Flowers." Clint nodded as he picked up a few dozen roses before heading to the cemetery. When they arrived Clint let Peter have his space, as Peter had some one sided conversations. After an hour or so of visiting they left Clint hugged Peter as he said "I'm sorry truly, you're such a good kid Pete." Peter nodded as they got in driving back to the compound when they arrived and walked into the main area as everyone sat, those who knew about his past gently smiled and said "Happy birthday Peter." Peter smiled and said "Thank you." As he took off his sweater those who arrived later in time seemed confused as Hank asked "Why didn't you say anything?" Peter just smiled as he said "I uhm, I have a way of celebrating, Clint followed me." Some nodded as Pepper said "So what did you do?" As they two sat down everyone turned to listen. Peter smiled. "Well, we went by Ben's orphanage after buying some toys for the kids, we hung out for a while, Clint got in a nerf gun war." Some chuckle as Clint jumped in with "Those children were fierce." as Peter continued "Then we headed down to the food drive May worked at and helped with lunch." Happy smiled, crying a bit as he said "She would have loved Pete." Peter smiled and he said "Then I took some flowers for my mom, dad, uncle and aunt, and cleaned their gravestones a bit. So all around a normal birthday, usually we went to this Thai place and we would get to eat dessert." Pepper smiled and said "Is that why I got a few alerts about a few thousand spent?" Peter nodded as he said "I donated to the food drive, and Ben to help out feeding the kiddos." Pepper hugged him as she said "We got you a few things as well." As he looked confused he said "But, you didn't need to, I don't need anything." Rhodey snorted and said "Come on kid." As he handed him a package, as PEter opened it, it was a bracelet Rhodey explained "Tony, wore it in college, he had bad anxiety with dealing with people. Thought you could use it." Peter nodded smiling as Rhodey helped him put it on as Happy handed and Pepper handed him a card they made for him alongside a snack basket of his favorite snacks. He enjoyed it as Betty and Abe gave him a ring with the letter 's' on it for Spiderman making their joke full circle as they laughed. Thor and Loki walked up together with a large box as Thor said Eitri had us return him home for a few hours so we could make this for you." Peter smiled gently, taking the box as he opened it. He smiled as he lifted a small sword and dagger as Loki said "These are the blades of Jeranathium." Peter looked confused as he explained "Long ago, our grandfather fought against a great evil, his highest ranking warrior wielded these in battle, legend says that the hero did not just attack but also helped those in need. You reminded him of the story and weapon." Peter smiled as he gripped it a bit. It felt light as Thor said "It's said the blade like Mjolnir chooses the wielder, if it does not think you worthy, you can not hold it." Peter smiled, setting it down as Clint reached forward to pick it up, but it didn't budge as he smiled Clint said "Dang It!" Causing some laughter as Thor said "Eitri knew you could the minute you ran back carrying a storm breaker." Rhodey spit out water coughing as Jane said "You did what now?" Others smirked, Yelena was handed $40 by Darcy. Peter laughed as soon as they had a fun night, the adults felt bad after finding out Peter lost his whole family.
