A month later he finally found a peaceful week. He would work half days at SI, come home training for a few hours, Spiderman sleep and repeat. On Friday he would leave heading to his house in the country to relax and enjoy some alone time off. Before returning Sunday night to the hectic life Some days he would have meetings with SHIELD or the UN as the finally got back to normal he no longer was needed to attend Tony took over his position much to his relief. Today was Friday. He had ordered lumber and paint alongside some new furniture for the house. It was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, so he decided to take a break. He found Tony in his lab as he said "Hey Tony, question." Tony looked up smiling as he said "What's up?" Peter smirked "Can I have some time off? With the whole world being back to normal and you helping Pepper." Tony smirked and said "Underoos take your time, you're a billionaire now, don't worry me and Pep we got it." Peter smiled as he went to find Betty. She was in his lab working on a personal project. As he walked in he said "Hey, can we talk?" She nodded, taking her glasses off. He sat down as he said, "With the world back in order mostly, I asked Tony for a break, just so I can take some time to clear my mind and pause for a moment." She smiled nodding as she said "OF course, you deserve it Pete, I'm helping oversee the upcoming renovations here, but take your time. Just text me, maybe call a few times?" He nodded as they leaned into a kiss as they had grown apart as a couple, then Abe, Ned, and MJ had movie nights every Wednesday. The avenger volunteered to take turns doing his Patrols while he was away which he accepted. Soon he packed his suit cases heading to his car he packed up heading to his house, when he finally arrived he unpacked before heading to the beach he sat down enjoying the sounds of the waves as he watched the unending ocean he smiled. Soon he headed to bed for the busy day ahead of him tomorrow.

The next day he woke up as he got ready he head down stairs making breakfast soon there was a knock on the door they delivered his new furniture and materials he ordered after sighing he grabbed a few tools and started removing the furniture from the bottom floor it was easy since there was plenty of room on the deck, he then ripped of the tile and carpet replacing it with new tile and hardwood floors. That took most of the day so he ended it by ripping out the kitchen counters which was not too difficult. As he headed up the stairs to shower before falling asleep. The next day he woke up left to grab breakfast since he couldn't really cook, today's plan was simple after eating he laid down new tile for the kitchen walls before moving in the new appliances and cabinets it took most of the day so after moving his food over he made some ramen as he put away his new dishes he bought. As he slept the night away day three he spent putting down plastic before painting the walls, as he let the dry he worked on the downstairs bathroom as he retiled the walls making it have a more modern look. After that he moved the new furniture into the bathroom attaching the plumbing lines correctly, Thankfully Karen was able to scan the house for any major issues and helped him with the plumbing work. He then worked later that night as he moved into his new sitting area . He even got some speakers and a new TV that was attached to the wall. He took the time to set it up before getting cleaned up and heading to bed. The next day he woke up as he took in the finished down stairs as he ate in his dining room before going for a walk on the beach as a small break, before returning home as he emptied the other three bedroom he ripped out the carpet before he painted them letting it dry over night he spent the next day laying down the new carpet and putting the new beds and dressers in the rooms alongside some decorations and making the beds. That night he walked around the property feeling free spirited he even swung round on the trees knowing no one would see him before beheading to bed. The next day he woke up to a knock on the door so he answered it in his sweatpants and tank top as he opened the door there stood Yelena smiling as she said "Are you hiding?" He shook his head as she said "Are you going to invite me in?" He smirked as he welcomed her and she took a look around as she said "So this is where you've been running off to every weekend?" Peter smirked as he yawned he said "May left it to me after passing, it was my mom and dads. I started renovating Saturday." She nodded as she sat some muffins on the counter for him, he ate them as he asked "How did you find me?" She shrugged as she said "Car GPS." He nodded as she said "So this is why you asked for time off? To work?" He shrugged as he said "Sort of, it's not life threatening or not , someone might die, or everyone watching me. It's just thinking and breathing, I haven't felt this happy in a long time." She nodded understandingly and said "Betty showed me the text you sent her, it was cute." He laughed as he said "Thank you. Now why are you really here?" she rolled her eyes landing on the new couch she said "Clint's family went home for a while, Sam and Bucky ran off with Steve and Nat on some adventure. The others just talk boring science and Wanda she went with Clint. "Peter nodded as she said "I came for entertainment." He laughed as he said "Well, I'm finishing upstairs today. You could help." She nodded as she through her hair up they walked up stairs he moved his furniture out his room as she ripped the carpet out, he then gave he the paint as she repainted it he ripped out the carpet in the hallway before heading to the bathroom and began ripping out the tile their and began putting down the new, soon he finished walking out Yelena was halfway through painting the hallway so he joined her soon the finished and decided to let it dry overnight. She managed to talk him into coming back to the compound for a day so he washed up before heading there. Soon he walked in and hugged Betty as she squealed they decided to have a movie night. Peter loved her and she loved him but the feelings morphed into something else. It was more like a best friend or sister, they spoke about it and ended up breaking up. Neither regretted it both understood they felt their time together as boyfriend and girlfriend came to an end. The next morning Peter woke up cooking Betty joined him as it melted away any fear on friendship as the finished cooking those still at the compound joined them most hugging Peter as they were shocked by his return as they sat down Betty and Peter smiled as the joked around with Abe who was talking about something Fury was teaching him Peter noticed the looked Abe and Betty shared so near the end of breakfast he said "Betty, Abe you guys should go out, have some fun." Tony choked on orange juice as Betty smiled. Abe seemed confused as She said "I would like to, only if you're up for it." Abe smiled confused nodding as they left Tony said "What was that?!" Peter shrugged as he said "We had a talk last night, we still love each other protectively and as friends but, we both know that we have drifted a bit apart this past month. It happens young love can die out, we're still friends and I will always be there for her." Pepper nodded as Tony gently smiled as he said "Well, As long as it won't cause drama." Peter smiled as he said "It wont and don't you worry I'll return to work eventually." Tony waved him off as he said "Kid you worked a year straight let us give you a break now." Peter nodded smiling as he cleaned up with Happy Morgan was on the ground and sort of crawling Pepper and Tony watched gently smiling as soon Peter said his goodbyes hugging Abe and Betty Abe said "Thanks man, for everything." Peter smirked and said "Don't burn it down alright?" Abe laughed as Peter turned to Betty and said "Don't worry I will still text you and call you, tell me if anything major happens." She nodded as he walked to his car and left, arriving home he took a small break before moving the new bathroom furniture up, hooking up the plumbing faster than last time as he laid the new carpet before moving in the final bedroom furniture. As he took another break he smiled at the completion of the inside of his house besides the basement. After this break he went through putting in new lights that used less energy and were brighter. After that he walked outside and began pulling some vegetation off the house before calling it a day.
