Natasha's words stuck with Selene for the rest of the day. Even though she insisted that Natasha was simply interpreting too much into it, she was relieved that she hasn't seen her Boss for the rest of the day.

She grabbed her coat and bag the second her Computer was turned off, storming into the elevator.

Just as the door closed, she pulled over her coat and organized her bag.

She knew Mr. Barnes last client would leave around 10 past 3. So she headed out spot 3, to avoid seeing him or having to say goodbye.

As the elevator descended, Selenes mind wandered back to the hug. The affectionate move stuck with her longer than she wanted to.

She recalled the way his muscled arms felt around her tiny waist. How he squeezed her tight to his chest, pulling her as close as possible. The smell of cold cigarettes and worn out but expensive perfume lingered on him.

How he felt - absolutely godlike.

How she felt. She felt safe. Good. Home. In his arms.

She shook her head violently, hoping her misguided thoughts would fall out of her hears. She corrected herself, telling her that she simply can't feel or think that way, even if she wanted to. Once the elevator door finally opened, she walked her way back to her tiny car, unlocking it as she jumped into it.

Within 10 minutes, she made her way out of the underground garage and back to Wanda's workplace, picking her up right on time. The heavy traffic she had to fight through was welcome this time, making her concentrate on something else.

The red haired beauty jumped into the car, placing herself into the passengers seat - as usual. Wanda wasn't much of a driver.

„How was your day, sweetie?" she beamed up at her, obviously in a good mood. Selene thought for a while, thinking if she should tell her best friend about her thoughts, about what Natasha told her.

„It- well it was okay. You seem to be in a unusual chipper mood, anything special happening?"

„Well, this sweet guy from the entrance finally asked me out!" Wanda chocked out, jumping happily in her seat.

„Wands, that's amazing! Congratulations! When's the date" Selene was genuinely happy for her best friend.

„This Friday. He's taking me to dinner" she happily spoke.

„I'm so happy for you!"

„Took him long enough though, after 3 months without nothing, I thought he wasn't interested" Wanda confessed.

And that's when it hit Selene. Mr. Barnes couldn't like her that way. They have worked together for 5 years now and he never made a move. Not a single one. She made an inner note to dish that to Natasha first thing tomorrow morning.
