Beach day 🏖️

Pov: Scarlett, Colin, rose, Cosmo and y/n go on a trip to the beach and y/n gets scared of the sea.

Colin: 40

Y/n: 11 months

Scarlett's pov:

Me and Colin woke up at 5:30 this morning so we could get the beach bags packed and in the back of the car before the kids woke up. We were going to wake them up early but they need a bit longer to sleep especially y/n because she kept me up alot last night and she is very tired.
Rose and Cosmo both packed their bags last night and put them downstairs for us to load into car.

I was busy getting dressed when Colin came in and asked where y/n's diaper bag was.

Colin: hey babe where is y/n's diaper bag

Scarlett: it's on the bed I just need to pack it

Colin: I can pack it just tell me what you want me to put in the bag

Scarlett: she needs diapers, spare clothes, bikini, swim diaper, wipes, towel, bottles, pacifiers, arm bands, shoes, socks, burp cloth, sunhat, sunscreen, teething rings, toys and her bunny

Colin: ok thanks I'll get that sorted you wake the kids up

Scarlett: ok rose might get up on her own but Cosmo won't but I'll see if anyone is awake

I walked out of our room and down to roses room and opened the door to see her fast asleep under her duvet. I walked over to her bed and shook her awake

Scarlett: hey rose bud wake up sweetie we have got to leave soon

Rose: ok I'm up I'm up

Scarlett: thanks sweetie now I've got to try wake your brother and sister up now

Rose: haha good luck with Cosmo you know he isn't a morning person

I walked over to Cosmo's room and walked in to see him sprawled out on the bed I tried shaking him awake but he just groaned but finally got up after a while.

Once he was up we were leaving in 15 minutes so I thought it was time to wake the little one up which might cause a tantrum and a cranky baby but she can sleep in the car.

I walk into y/n's nursery to find her spread out like a starfish in her crib, I walk over and start running my fingers across her cheek to see if that would help

Scarlett: hey baby wakey wakey sleepy girl

She started stretching her arms over her head then she finally opened her beautiful blue eyes and started smiling at me, she made grabby hand's to me so I reached down and picked her up and kissed her forehead then placed her on my hip and walked over to the changing table to get her ready for the beach

I changed her diaper and put her in a a lovely little dress and a pair of white sandals then popped her on my hip and walked out the room and downstairs so we could get ready to leave

Once we were all packed we all Walked to the car whilst Colin locked the house up and put the alarm on, I set y/n in her car seat with her bunny and pacifier then got in the passenger seat because Colin was driving.

It took us an hour and a half to reach this lovely little beach hidden away, we parked the car and got everything out then walked towards the little spot where we set up everything , me and Colin set up our chairs and put the umbrella up to keep the sun away from the food cooler, the kids where playing in the sand when rose asked if they could go play in the sea

rose: mom can we go play in the sea

Scarlett: ye but let me get y/n's swim suit on first and make sure you keep an eye on her she's never been in the sea before

I was right this was y/n's first time at the beach she loved the sand between her toes and loved making Sandcastles but me and Colin were both worried about her reaction to the sea and hoped she liked the water

I got y/n changed and took her over to the sea to get her reaction but as soon as the water touched her feet she freaked out and started screaming and crying so I picked her up and held her to my chest to calm her down I tried getting her used to it and showing her it wasn't scary but she wasn't having it , so I walked down to our little spot and sat down , Colin was worried on y/n so he took her off me and lay her on his chest but she was still crying so I reached in the bag and got her bunny and a bottle of my breast milk I had pumped that morning I passed them over to Colin so he could feed her and she could have a little nap

Colin's pov:

When Scarlett came back over with y/n crying in her arms I instantly knew she didn't like the water which we kind of knew was going to happen, Scarlett sat down with her but she couldn't stop crying so I took her off my wife and lay her on my chest to see if she would calm down but she didn't but she was due a nap so Scarlett reached in the diaper bag and got y/n's bunny and bottle out and passed it to me, so I fed her bottle to her and she fell asleep in my arms clutching onto her bunny

Both rose and Cosmo came over five minutes later and started asking for lunch so we got lunch out of the cooler and ate them whilst y/n slept, she woke up about an hour later and played in the sand for a bit until we decided to head home because it was getting late

We found a cute little restaurant on the way home and decided to have dinner there saves us cooking after a long day , we got seated in one of the booths and started looking at the menu , I picked a burger , Scarlett and rose got pasta , Cosmo got a hotdog and y/n got some fries which she loved

We sat and ate and then payed and drove home , once we got home y/n was asleep so I got her out the car quietly and took her upstairs and changed her into her pyjamas and lay her in her crib with her pacifier and her bunny and blanket then I put her night light on and left the room. I went downstairs and sat and watched tv with my wife and older kids then we all went to bed and me and Scarlett talked about how the day was amazing , then we kissed each other goodnight and fell asleep.
