June Kim's POV
We arrive at the finding it in full swing.Quiet quickly we are shown to the VVIP lounge.Am truly amazed at how many people were actually waiting for Ayan.My dear boy is no longer that,he is now a man of power in the business world.Its no wonder forbes label him the number 1 youngest and richest business man under 30.
One by one I watch as the host calls on the men to be honoured.finally I watch as the last man Mr chawe takes stage to get his medal and give his speech as the highest recipient.There after I watch him walk towards his table,oh there she is.I must admit she looks beautiful tonight.I notice Ayan looking at her almost in a daze and I try not to laugh when the king of denim asks if his drunk too much.
Feeling a bit tipsy myself,I excuse myself and tell Ayan that I will be in the adjoining room taking a quick break.I go to the room and lay my head on a pillow,the next think I know there is a terrible smell under my nose...
"Hachoo!hachoo!!hachoo!!!,what in the world is that"i exclaim.
"Shhhhhhh, are you trying to get us both killed"someone says.
"What!"i say...looking closely I notice it is that Cia person talking to me.what is going on?.
"We need to get out of this van,can you stand"she asks.
"Yes,whatever you had me smell woke me right up,what is it"I ask her.Feeling sober.
"My very own brand of pepper spray"she says,whilst helping me out of the van.
Turning around to face me she says " look madam,wow! you are gorgeous".
"Why thank you"i say.
"You are welcome but what am trying to say is we need to get out of here before your kidnappers come back"she tells me.
Kidnappers,I was almost kidnapped.Oh thank goodness she saved me.But then again how do I know that this was not something that she had planned.Women have done worse things before so as to try and get to my sons through me.Suddenly men wearing masks and carrying guns approach us,it's to late for us to hide,well if this was her plan then it's working.I glare at the men.
"They are back ain't they"she says.
"Yep"i says flatly.
Cia slowly turns around and we are both face to face with the armed men whose guns are pointing at us.
"Get back in the van"one of the men says.
Cia slowly backs away till she reaches me.
"So this is how I die,well I guess it's worth it,I mean I will die for a good deed"Cia says.
Suddenly there is a whooshing and gun fire next thing I know am on the ground with Cia covering me.Sitting up,I push cia off me and I groan from her weight.Wow she's heavy. I move away from Cia and look around noticing the gun men groaning on the floor as the military surround them.
"Cia cia cia!",I hear hear someone shouting.upon close inspection I see Mr chawe.
"Eomma!are you okay"Ayan asks.
"When did you get here?"I ask
"That doesn't matter,are you hurt,mum mum.Can I get medic here"yells Ayan
Am looking at Cia and notice she's bleeding."Ayan"i say...
Ayan looks to where am looking.
"No,no,no,no don't fall asleep, keep awake Cia medic is almost here!"I hear Cia's father shout.
Ayan's POV
We arrive at the ball and from all indications I can tell mum is really proud of me.I know she still blames herself for the Lilith incident.She thinks it's her fault cause she's the one that pushed me towards Lilith.But I don't blame her,she just wanted what is best for me just like she did with my older siblings who are both happily married.
After the presentation of the medals,Am walking around and talking to some people when mum tells me she's going to sleep in the lounge for a bit.I let her go but make sure she has her guards with her.
After a while am standing at a perfect angle to watch Cia without her or anyone been suspicious.I honestly don't know why am doing this but since I saw her dancing with her siblings while looking so beautiful I have been looking for a way to talk to her and yes,I did a background check on her whole family and from inside sources I found out her step mother tarnished her name making her and her father's relationship rocky.
Suddenly Cia stood up and was heading towards the bathrooms,I was about to go after her when the representative of the finance bureau stepped in my path.After a quick chat I just decided to go and check on mum.I head towards the lounge when I see a commotion outside her door.The guards are drugged and military personnel is looking around to see what transpired.
"Whose in charge and what's going on here?"i ask.
"I am"says someone standing behind me.
I turn to see Cia's father."congratulations on your medal sir but could you kindly explain what is going on?"i say.
"Thank you Mr Merchant,as of 20 minutes ago I got a report that the guards on this door have been knocked out and I and my men came to investigate."He says.
"And"i ask.
"Sir all indicators points to a kidnapping,we are currently looking at"...
Before Mr chawe could finish someone yells out"Dad!,something is wrong with Cia."
"What do you mean"asks Mr chawe
"She wrote code black"the man said.
I notice Mr Chawe tenses.He then turns to his subordinates and starts to bark out orders"Check all exists,cctv and call medics,this could all be connected move!move! move!".
5minutes later
"I got them sir,the young misses tracker shows she's on the 3rd floor garage."replies one of the sergeants.
"Okey,check the cctvs in that area, motion sensors and thermo status"Cia's father commands.
"Cctvs are down and so are the motion sensors but thermo reading shows 2 heavily armed men and two females in the back of a van sir"replies another sergeant.
"That's them,get everyone in position now"says Cia's father and I see all the soldiers mobilise.
"This is a Military operation,civilians are not allowed " Cia's father tells me.
"Really,do I look like I care,my mum is out there and you will have more to worry about than me once your bosses find out exactly who was kidnapped right under your nose."I turn away and head for the 3rd floor.
"Secretary kim"i say.
"Mss(Merchant secret service) arrived 5minutes and were listening in,I just got confirmation that they have the madam and miss Cia surround but the kidnappers are holding them at gun point"replies Secretary kim.
We speed walk and I stand besides the sergeants,watching what happens.The gun men have Cia and mum at gun point.This will be tricky.Suddenly Cia's father whistles and everything happens to quickly as shoots are fired i see Cia dive for my mother...
I rush towards mum to check up on her noticing she seems disorientated.i call out for medic when I hear her say my name.
"Ayan"she says.its then that I remember Cia was with her.I look towards Cia and see her father yelling at her not to fall asleep . She's bleeding out despite her father pressing on her wound,
"Cia!!!"I scream out..
Cia's POV
The last thing I hear is a voice so familiar...
