A/N sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes (also this takes place a bit into naruto's and sasuke's time in the academy, maybe like a year before they graduate so they are both about 11)
_3rd person's pov_
Naruto was not the most favored person in the village, actually it's more of the opposite. Naruto was alone since he was born. The only person who seemed to care at all was the third hokage whom he liked to call 'Jiji'. He would visit Naruto sometimes, mostly to give Naruto money, food etc.
Naruto was inside his small apartment most of the time except when he had to go to the academy because the villagers disliked him and treated him like shit. Today though, Naruto decided to go out for a walk because he had been inside the whole day and he needed fresh air. As he was walking, he bumped into a kid from his class at the academy. Sasuke was his name. Naruto wouldn't admit it to anyone, but he kinda liked Sasuke because he was alone just like him. He had always wanted to be friends with him, but never had the guts to ask him to be friends. So instead, they became rivals.
_Naruto pov._
Today was boring. Nothing to do, nothing to watch. Maybe I should go on a walk, refresh my mind a bit. It looks quite cold outside so I put on my jacket before I headed out. As I was walking, I started thinking about Sasuke. I really wanted to become friends with him but I never had the courage to. This is because of his 'I hate everyone and everything' mood. I honestly don't know how he gets all the girls. I mean sure he has an irresistible face..... wait, what?! Stupid Naruto! You can't fall for him!!- I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts because I just walked right into the one and only Sasuke.
"watch where you're going sasuke!" I snapped. "you were the one who bumped into me! why don't you watch where you are heading?!" he snapped back. "whatever- teme" I mumbled the last part hoping that he didn't hear it. Luckly he didn't (a/n he actually did but Naruto doesn't know) and we continued walking our own separate ways, and for some reason I couldn't help but smile.
