You suddenly jerk awake, sitting up on your bed and checked the clock. It read 7:45am, but this couldn't wait. It was your birthday today, and not just any birthday, it was your nineteenth birthday. You would finally know who your soulmate was. Then you thought about Jeongin, your best friend. How would he feel? You were sadly in love with him which in any other world would have been fine, except he most likely wasn't your soulmate. But how could you not fall in love with him? He was the sweetest boy ever, anyone would fall in love with him. A year ago you vowed to be happy when he found his soulmate, no matter who it was. So far even though his nineteen birthday has passed he hasn't found them yet. Both of their birthdays had to pass in order for them to know. You took your pillow and stuffed your face on it, internally screaming. Why did you have to fall for someone who would never love you back?
Sighing, you took a deep breath, closed your eyes and listened. Nothing. Your soulmate was probably asleep, you wondered what they were like, were they cute? What was their name? Their hobbies? You would probably find out later.
Tiptoeing down the stairs, you saw a neatly wrapped box along with a soft looking cake. The smell of eggs and toast fills your nose. Your mom was in the kitchen cooking up some eggs and toast. Your dad was sitting down drinking some coffee. You were surprised they were awake this early in the morning, they usually slept in on the weekends.
"Good morning y/n," they both say to you at the same time. They did that sometimes, say phrases at the same time. You giggle, "good morning,"
Your mom hands you a plate with your breakfast on it, you eat quickly so you could open your present.
After you finished eating, your mom and dad sang happy birthday to you, then you blew out the candles.
After cutting a piece of cake, you happily ate the piece. You tasted a vanilla flavor, along with a hint of fruits. It was absolutely delicious.
"Time for your present!" your dad says. Your mom claps her hands together and takes out her old camera, that for some reason still works despite being older than you.
You take the box in your hands and slowly unwrap the ribbon. Ripping the colorful wrapping paper, your face turns into a smile. Inside the box were various stationary supplies, there was washi tape, notebooks, pens, stickers and more. You loved to journal and your parents knew this, so to have them buy all this for you made you feel happy.
You hug your mom and dad, thankful for them.
"Thank you so much!"

The door jingles as you walk into your favorite boba shop "HEARTBEAT BOBA", you were going to meet your friends Seungmin and Yoora to celebrate your birthday with them. Looking around you spotted Seungmin and Yoora on the stools near the windows. You wave to them and head in their direction. Jeongin was busy filling out an order for a customer, but your eyes briefly met with his and he smiled at you. It was like he got cuter every single day.
You sit down on the stool next to Yoora and put your bag down.
"My favorite person, how have you been? I've missed you so much!!" Yoora pulls you into a hug, you could smell her perfume, she smelled like fresh flowers.
"I literally saw you last week Yoora," you laugh.
"I know, that was way too long ago," she pouts.
"What am I going to do with you? And I've been good, don't worry, I got stationery sets from my parents. I should show you later!"
"You sure Yoora isn't your soulmate, and not mine? She seems to love you more than I do," Seungmin says to you, as he takes a sip of his Jasmine milk tea.''You dummy, you're the only one I love. Only you can deal with my clinginess, plus she can't hear my thoughts anyways," Yoora cups Seungmin's face, and he gives her a big smile.
