Battle for Trost Part 1

I appreciate the patience from everyone reading this. I got to see my kitty, he's ok. I'm working on moving out of my house to get him back. It's super complicated. He's doing well though. Everyone enjoy this chapter!

Warning: Slight smut

You were stationed on the wall. It was the day before you would pick which regiment you wanted to join. You were set on joining the Survey Corps. You wanted to explore outside of the walls and reclaim Wall Maria. There were others on the wall with you, including Connie, Mina, Samuel, Thomas, Armin, Eren, and Sasha.
You were cleaning out the cannons with Thomas while Eren was talking about how he was joining the scouts, everyone chiming in to explain how they were joining too. Apparently Eren's speech about taking back Wall Maria and killing the titans changed several of their minds, including Connie who had been set on joining the MPs along with Jean and Marco (whom aren't present at the moment).
Sasha ran up to you guys with some stolen meat. She explained how she stole it and was planning on sharing it. Meat was very rare due to the loss of land and the abundance of live stock and game. You watched as she put the meat away for safe keeping in the crate that was nearby.
You turned back to finish cleaning the cannon you were working on when suddenly a flash of lightning sparked and a bunch of steam blew everybody back instantly. You started to fall off the wall (interior part), trying to get a grip on your ODM.
You managed to get yourself hooked just in time, seeing that everyone else had already hooked on. Everyone except Samuel. Connie caught his limp body with one of his hook, assuring everyone that he would be ok. You didn't think so, especially since he was not only limp but bleeding.
Eden sped back up over the wall, heading towards the source of the steam. You followed after him quickly, landing on the wall on the opposite side of where Eren was. You looked up at the threat before you. You had never gotten a look at the Titan that destroyed Wall Maria many years prior, or at least not until now.
"The Colossal Titan..." You were in shock at its size as well as the fact that it didn't have any skin like almost every other Titan you had seen prior. You looked directly at its face, then it's eyes. Something about this Titan seemed oddly familiar but you didn't know why. You noticed it had been staring back at you, it's steam not as heavy as before. It looked rather sad.
You sheathed your blades, ready to attack it along with Eren. This prompted the Titan to swing its arm across the top of the wall. You hooked onto its arm, swinging over it as it swooped across the wall, Eren doing the same but closing in on its nape. When Eden was directly behind it, he shot his hooks into its nape. The Titan, in response, shot steam from its nape wildly, causing Eren's hooks to shoot off the nape and making Eren fly back. You felt the steam too, it was very hot. It blew you back, and you hooked yourself back on the side of the wall with the others. Eren, with his persistence, continue on into the steam to slice the nape. He went to slice it, but it made no contact. When the steam disappeared, the Titan was gone.
"Did you kill it Eren?!" Connie yelled, flying up over the wall.
"N-no! It's like five years ago! It's here one moment and then gone the next!" Eren landed back on top of the wall along with everyone else. Samuel was injured badly, his body now on top of the wall laying next to Connie and Sasha. He was surprised that the Colossal titan could just up and disappear in an instant.

You were about to speak but were cut off by the arrival of a few Garrison Regiment soldiers. They informed you that Trost was being evacuated and that everyone there would be helping out in separate squads. You all saluted them as they took off. You had been assigned to a squad with all unfamiliar people. There were three guys and two other girls in your squad which whom you found as you landed in the district on one of the building roofs. You sighed to yourself, wondering what Bertholdt and Reiner were up to right now. You assumed they were told to evacuate as well, hoping they were having a good time in retreating.
