Hello my fellow followers/readers. I've started to write this chapter at around midnight 12/23/21. I probably won't have it finished until this afternoon or the following day. I'm exhausted from work already and I still have today and Christmas Eve to work. I'm so tired but I can't go to sleep. Starting to feel like Levi and his insomniac ass. I have pretty bad insomnia but I sleep well enough when I do. Blackout curtains are a blessing. Anyways, whenever this does get published, enjoy! Also Merry Christmas. This should be out before then, so.

After running out of the mess hall, you stopped. You started getting a sharp headache all of a sudden. You held your head, grunting as it started hurting more and more. You walked down the steps and made your way to your barracks when you heard someone running behind you. You didn't want to talk to whoever it was, fearing that it might be Jean. You really didn't feel like explaining that little scenario to him. You still couldn't figure out why you had done that. 'He just startled me, that must be why I did it.' You told yourself. The problem with this was you'd been startled before. It almost felt like your body had been operating involuntarily in that moment.
You started to quicken your pace towards the barracks, trying to keep ahead of whoever was following you. You just wanted to be alone, you were already embarrassed enough as is. You messed up any friendship you might have made with Jean. You felt like you were starting to grow attached to people for the first time, and then you go and do that. Your head started to pound again, making you have to stop, both your hands holding it. You groaned in pain, wishing it would stop. You turned around and found that Bertholdt was standing there, looking at you with concerned eyes.
"H-hey are you okay (Y/N)?" He asked, leaning down a little bit towards you. Not too close, but low enough so that you were looking right into his eyes. "What's wrong?"
You groaned again, now only one hand on your head. "My head hurts. It's not that big a-" You felt another sharp pain in your head, this time almost bringing you to your knees. It hurt so much, and now you felt a ringing in your ears. You felt fine earlier, but now it felt like your head could explode at any moment. "Grrrng... Fuck..." You groaned, tears forming at the edge of your eyelids.
Bertholdt put a hand on your temple, rubbing it gently with two fingers. He looked so concerned for you, his eyes never leaving yours. "Did you hit it on something? Have you been eating?" He moved his hand down to your face, wiping the tears away as they were sliding down your face. "H-hey it's gonna be ok..."
Your face started to turn pink at his warm touch. It was calming. The pain you had started to slowly drift away until it was completely gone. You stood there, keeping his eyes fixed to his. You could have sworn you saw him blush, and as soon as you noticed he turned his head away.
"I-it doesn't hurt anymore. T-thank you Bertholdt. For worrying." You got flustered at what you were trying to say, not sure how to thank him properly without stuttering or going on too long. "I mean, you didn't need to worry, I mean I-"
He got a little closer to you, cutting your stuttering off in an instance, putting his hand on the back of your head, pulling you closer to him. You blinked a few times. 'Is he... holding me? Why?' You were genially confused at the shift in his demeanor. You were starting to feel a bit embarrassed of being held in general, especially in public, even if nobody else was around. It did feel nice though. He felt extremely warm, too. You tugged on his shirt gently, pushing your head into his chest. He moved a little, readjusting how he stood so he wouldn't fall.
