They materialized in a canyon, surrounded by unfamiliar terrain that echoed with an air of anticipation. The rugged cliffs and uneven ground offered both obstacles and advantages. As Lincoln surveyed the surroundings, the feeling of standing in an arena intensified—an arena set for a battle with stakes extending far beyond the canyon's confines.

In the quiet of the canyon, Lincoln's thoughts raced. His understanding of his opponent's abilities was limited, yet he grasped the significance of speculation. The manipulation of shadows hinted at an extraordinary power, presenting a unique challenge even for an energy manipulator.

However, he also recognized that there must be limitations to this power.

While shadows offered versatility, he recognized there had to be restrictions. Lincoln realized he might face insurmountable odds in the upcoming duel if his adversary could control any shadow, especially with considerable experience.

"No, there are limits," Lincoln muttered, his thoughts weaving through the hypothetical scenarios. Each limit became a potential vulnerability, a point of focus for Lincoln to exploit. He honed his insight on countering the expected limitations of his opponent's abilities. The duel wasn't just about the clash of physical strength; it was a battle of wits, an elaborate dance of tactics and foresight.

Aytrex offered a reassuring pat on Lincoln's back, his eyes reflecting both concern and support. "Are you certain about this?" he inquired.

With a determined glint in his eyes, Lincoln responded, "There must be a reason why the universe chose me as the new energy manipulator. I need answers, and the first step is to assert my existence, even if it means reaching an unintended audience."

As Lincoln voiced his resolve, a sudden manifestation of a blue portal disrupted the conversation. Two figures emerged from its depths, and the portal swiftly condensed into a brilliant blue orb before vanishing altogether.

The taller of the two newcomers drew immediate attention. Jet-black hair framed his face, and his bright blue eyes, akin to Aytrex's distinctive gaze, stood out in the canyon's muted hues. "Greetings, Lincoln Blaze. My name is Carzen, a representative from the Teleporters Guild tasked with bringing your opponent," he introduced, making a sweeping gesture behind him.

Following Carzen's indication, a figure emerged into view, mirroring Lincoln's stature. The man had brown hair and pale eyes, the diamond-shaped pupils reminiscent of Aytrex and Carzen. "It's an honor to meet Earth's champion; my name is Crescent," the man declared with a respectful nod. However, a subtle undertone in his demeanor hinted at a certain artificiality, as if his formality was merely a show, temporarily worn for the occasion.

The echoes of their introductions lingered in the canyon, each word carving a moment of significance in the stillness. Lincoln, flanked by Aytrex, faced the two enigmatic figures with a mixture of determination and curiosity. Carzen stood with unwavering composure, his posture reflecting a poised demeanor that emanated a sense of authority. By his side, Crescent exuded an aura of calm confidence, his every movement resonating with an unspoken assurance.

The air around Crescent seemed charged, a palpable testament to the formidable challenge that awaited Lincoln in the upcoming duel.

As the initial formalities concluded, Lincoln acknowledged Crescent with a nod. "The honor is mine, Crescent," he replied, his voice carrying the weight of the impending duel. The acknowledgment, a subtle agreement between adversaries, hung in the air.

Carzen took a step forward, his gaze piercing through the ambient anticipation. "The duel between Lincoln and Crescent will commence shortly. As representatives of Earth and Alvanian, this confrontation holds profound implications. The outcome will echo beyond the confines of this canyon," he explained, his words resonating with solemnity.
