𝗞𝗜𝗘𝗥𝗔 dribbled the ball and stood at the three-point line in her local basketball court as she held the ball in her hands and looked up at the goal, pausing for a split second before shooting the ball. Kiera's wrist flicked and she jumped slightly as her eyes stared holes into the goal and she watched it closely, her ball sliding right into the net without even touching the rim around it.

"straight net, baby." Kiera smiled in content, jogging up to her ball, as she picked it up and began dribbling it, walking towards the end of the court with the ball in her hand.

Kiera had an undeniable love for basketball. basketball for her was like therapy. whenever she was angry, she played basketball. whenever she was sad, she played basketball. whatever the emotion was, Kiera never gave up on her dream of being in the WNBA. it was something not only she wanted, but her mother as well.

Kiera thought that when she finally graduated and made it to college, she'd have a closer chance of getting into the WNBA, no matter what it would take.

basketball was Kiera's passion, and she couldn't stay away from it no matter what.

Keira stopped at the end of the court, the basketball sitting still in her palms, as she looked around the quiet court and began imagining a team - or at least a person - playing against her, closing her eyes and sighing softly before opening them back again.

Kiera flew down the court dribbling the ball in her hand and dodging imaginary opponents as she made it towards the end of the court and did a crossover dribble before jumping up and dunking on her invisible opponents, a large smile on her face and a small laugh escaping her throat while she and the ball hit the ground and she landed on her behind.

"you an all-star now, huh?" a voice asked as Kiera's ears pricked up at the sound before rolling her eyes, immediately recognizing the person that the voice came from.

"what'chu want, Birdie? you can't see i'm busy?" Kiera asked, her voice laced with frustration, as she looked up from her position and saw Birdie walking towards her, twirling his chain in his hand while he stood 2 feet away from her and watched her intently.
