It had been a everlasting day of fatigue and endurance for them all. However, nothing could compare to losing your other half. Her entire existence he had been there beside her. But now, now it felt like there was enternal void that would never feel whole again. The team had given the little witch her own room in the tower. They provided the neccasities. A roof, food, water, warmth and safety. Yet even though she was surrounded by people she had never felt more alone.
Wanda believed they were only caring for her out of a sense of duty. For they had been enemies not long before. Clint says she an Avenger but right now she regrets taking foot on the war ground. The one person she felt at home with was gone.
Vision whom was placed upon the other end of the tower was in complete bliss by all these new surroundings. He had access to all the world's knowledge but seeing it's form in reality well that was something else. The one thing that he struggled to understand was her. The beautiful auburn haired witch that he had carried out of the dust. The ear piercing scream had not gone from his mind. He sat and searched through grief for he wished to understand and help her but he struggled. Who was he kidding himself he was practically a new born ,how could he understand? He had heard that just being there for the person was helpful so he decided he would pay the Sokovian witch a visit.
He stared at the wall that separated him and her for a good five minutes before he realised that breath that no one realises their holding in. Hand slowly rising he walks through the wall as effortlessly as a spirit.
There she was hand in her face, knees to her stomach whimpering softly. Vision tilted his head as he spoke "Wanda?"
Poor little Wanda jumped a mile before screeching "VIS!" Simultaneously she covered her mouth as a rosy flush consumed her cheeks. "I'm sorry Vision I'm a little on edge. Please don't come through the wall like that just knock before you come in," she softly presented with a forced smile.Vision came and sat next to her and apologised for the scare. He just wanted to make her feel better. Wanted to let her know that she was not alone. Let her know that the team was here for her. He was here for her. Slowly the conversation grew and Wanda admitted she didn't want anything but her brother to come back. She felt as if she was drowning. That all her sorrow would consume her. Wanda saw herself in a pessimistic darkness whilst Vision saw a strong solider who had saved everyone but forgot she matters too. He played with hands for some reason he did not yet understand. He looked over at the tv show Wanda had been watching slightly confused by it before softly saying "Wanda I don't presume to know what you are feeling but, I would like to know.Should you wish to tell me.Should that be of some comfort to you."
Wanda sad their as grief poisoned the once bright eyes. She slowly moved her head to look at him as her body felt heavy and sighed slightly "what makes you think that talking about it would bring me comfort." Wanda could not get rid of the burning sensation in her heart and the aching around her eyes from all the tears she had lost. Memories playing in her head as the endless cycle of memories emerged as if a broken record.Vision tried to tell her he had read about it. He cared. He truly did. But grief isn't some textbook thing. No matter how long you live with the grief it hurts. Irritation flared in Wanda as she interpreted vision stating ," The only thing that would bring me comfort. Is seeing him again." That was only part of the truth for Wanda she wanted them all back. She wanted the pain to stop. She wanted to feel safe again. There was a moment of silence between the two. Before Wanda guiltily said "I'm sorry." She didn't want to hurt Vision, nor did Vision want to hurt her. But Wanda was so tired not only of the consuming emotions but the physical tole it took upon her.Vision admitted to Wanda he doesn't understand grief as he has never had someone to lose. That honesty meant everything to Wanda. It captured her attention in a second. He was the only one who wasn't trying to quick fix everything and pretend to know everything. But what he did say would help her to cope for years to come. Vision looked at Wanda and said "But what is grief? If not love persevering." Wanda looked at him in absolute awe she never thought about it like that before. He was truly a gift. Vision giggled at the show Wanda had on "it's funny" he smiled. Wanda for the first time in a while let out a genuine smile and agreed with him. She leant her head on his shoulder and watched Dick Van Dyke until she fell asleep. Even then he didn't leave her side he stayed by her to protect to keep her company. It was in the last few moments before she fell asleep that she realised he was her home and so long as she had him she would be okay.
