Page 1- Back then

CHAPTER 1

REGIE's POV:
It hurt seeing Sebastian in that bed. I knew this day would come but I never thought it would be so soon. After everything we went through..

REGIE's MEMORY FLASH BACK:
-2011 January 23rd

I remember walking into my first day off school , I was 10 years old. I couldn't speak English very well since I just moved from the Philippines. The school was big, I can barely remember it, the hallways always full off children, but there was one boy who always caught my eye. I didn't know who he was, what his name was or anything. All I knew was that he was 2 years younger than me. Back then I never knew why I kept looking at him, I always got nervous when I saw him. But we never talked, he didn't even know me. I guess he was my little hallway crush. I still remember the first time I entered my new classroom, so many kids looking at me. I sat at the back off the class and didn't say much, but one time I really had to go to the bathroom. So I raised my hand and asked the teacher politely. She handed me a hall pass and I walked down the hallway, when I got to the bathroom I can remember the feeling I felt when I saw him there, the boy in the hallways. He talked to me for the first time.."hello!" At first I was kind off shocked that he even spoke to me. " h-hey" I stuttered and walked over to him. " ur the new kid right? I'm Sebastian Moy" He was so cheerful, he didn't hesitate to take my hand and he just smiled. " I'm Regie Macalino" Those memories will never fade. I remember the first time he came to my house, my mom welcomed him..who wouldn't, he's amazing. The 8 year old boy helped me with my school work and we talked anytime we could. This was only middle school, high school was so much better.

REGIE PRESENT POV:
"Sebastian..do you remember our teenage years?" I laugh and hold his hand" yeah, those were good times" he laughs and tightens his grip on my hand"

REGIE MEMORY FLASH BACK:
-2017 4th June
I remember when summer break first started, me and Sebastian hung out every single day. We played basketball, went to the beach or just sat in either mine or his room and just watched movies. The summer off 2017 was the best thing ever..it was around that time me and him got together. It was a warm summer night and my parents were away, so I invited Seb to my house for a sleep over. I remember how nervous I was because I planned on telling him how I felt, little did I know back then he was going to do the same.  It was funny how it happened,  we were watching a movie like always and the movie had a confession scene. So we both at the same time confessed, and I remember the joy and relaxation I felt. Nobody knew I was gay, not even Seb. Turns out he was bisexual...lucky me! We stayed up all night cuddling, listening to music as we looked at the stars from the window, that was also the first time we kissed. Through our the whole night we held hands and as we woke up our hands were still interlocking..Everything was so nice back then, so peaceful...so unrealistically perfect. Little did we both know our forever wasn't going to last forever.

If only I knew...if only we knew..
