Fluff and a bit of Angst :D

Camilo's POV

"DINNER IS READY!" Mamá shouted from downstairs.

I was reading a book when she said that. I didn't bother to even memorize the page I was on. I closed the book and ran out of my room. Right when I got out of the door, smack. I ran right into Isabella.

"Ouuwwww..." I groaned.

"Watch where your going, Cam." Isa said in a jokingly sassy tone.

"Heheheh, sorry Isa!" I said embarrassed for being in such a rush.

Isa just laughed and walked off. I wiped away the wrinkles from my ruana. This time, I walk to dinner. Most of the family was there. I start to get the glasses from our cabinet. Papá comes behind me and grabs glasses as well.

"Hola Hijo!" Papá says happily.

"Hola Papá !" I say with a smile.

I turn with the cups and walk back to the table. Tía Julieta was putting the food down. I go next to her. I set the cups down.

"Thank you for the amazing food Tía." I say and smile warmly.

"Aw, no hay problema, sobrino!" Julieta said obviously grateful for the complement.

She patted my head, and pulled me into a hug. I loved getting hugs. Even though I usually don't initiate the affection, I get scared of rejection when it come to that stuff. Mainly because when I was little I would always ask Abuela for hugs, to hold her hand, or any type of physical affection and more often than not... I'd get rejected. So I became very grateful for hugs now a days. Tía kissed my head and continued to move around the placement of the food.

"Camilo!" Mamá said behind me.

"Hmm?" I hummed in return.

"How are you mi corazón?" She asks in a happy tone.

"Oh I'm doing good Mami! How are you?" I say politely.

"I'm doing great!" She replys.

Mamá plays with my hair for a moment then walks away from me to talk to Papá. I walk away from the dinner table. I find Mirabel sitting down with her head against the wall with her eyes closed in the hallway next to the kitchen.

"Mira?" I ask softly.

She opened her eyes and looks at me. She looked really tired. I frown. I shapeshift into Tiá. I slide down next to her and look at her. She looks away.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Nothing Camilo, I'm just really...really tired." Mira replys in a sleepy voice as she closes her eyes.

"Mirabel, Hija..." I say, trying to comfort her.

"Cam..." Mirabel says.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"You don't have to shapeshift to comfort me, being with you is just fine." Mirabel says as she opens her eyes and turns her head to face me.

I smiled. I didn't know that she actually wanted, me, to comfort her. It seemed unusual, but for some reason it almost made me tear up. I shapeshift back into myself. Mirabel hugs me.

"I like you just the way you are, primo. You don't have to be someone else to make me feel happier." Mira said comforting me.

"Hey, I thought I was supposed to be the one comforting you Mira!" I say offended in a joking way.
