Shell?

A/N: This chapter is based on Into The Past between the chapters Defying Gravity and Thank Goodness.

It's been two years since Elphaba had defied the wizard. She's been helping the Resistance by going out on dangerous assignments to set Animals free or something else. She had become close friends with the swans that took her in the current Animal hideout she was taking residence at.

It was late at night when Elphaba was in her room studying the Grimmarie when she heard shouting from outside. What in Oz name? She went outside to find a bunch of Animals around a young teenage boy. she heard a Bear explain something to the young teen "We need to check you before you see Miss. Elphaba." Elphaba has reached the commotion "What is going on here?"

"This young boy wants to see you." said a bird who was pointing to him. Elphaba rolled her eyes "I can see that." Elphaba and the boy lock eyes when they saw each other, wide-eyed. Elphaba was the first to break the silence.

"Shell? What are you doing here?" The boy sighed "I wanted to find you." "Yeah, so does everybody." She snapped. Shell rolled his eyes " I mean I had to leave Munchkinland. It's awful down there, you have no idea." She raised an eyebrow "What do you mean?" "Father.....he uh....he gave Nessa his job. And now with her laws, Munchkinland has basically become a prison. No one is allowed to leave. I got out as soon as I could. I heard you joined the Resistance from a Wolfe and he showed me to the leader of the Resistance. I asked to join because I also don't agree with the Wizard and I heard you were at this hideout so they instructed me to come here."

Elphaba closed her eyes. Sometimes some guys could be real idiots. "Shell, you're seventeen for Oz sake. you can't join the Resistance!" " I can and I did. You know Fabala, I can be stubborn as you too." "Ugh" "So.......does that mean I can stay?" She rubbed her temples and sighed " What choice do I have now that you're already here?" He shrugged "None, really." She glared at him " That was rhetorical, Shell." Shell smerked She has no idea.
