Going through something and finding someone attractive means using them to get you life together, but what happens when you catch feelings for your 'side piece'
You drove up to the front of the house looking down the road when you got out, there were party lights hanging outside Mina's house as well as people coming inside and some walking out of the door with bottles of alcohol in hand. With a sigh you turned away and opened the trunk pulling the bags out. Approaching the door it flew open.
"y/n, you're finally here. The donuts were ready a couple minutes ago. I didn't want them to get too cold before you got here" she rushed you inside with a smile on her face, looking like a child high off sugar.
"Alright then, let's see what we got here you dropped the bags near the front door and approached the sink washing your hands before checking them out "They look delicious, smell delicious to " at this point your mouth was slightly drooling but quickly you wipe it and stood straight looking right into her eyes "Mei Hatsume, i give you a.." you grabbed a donut and took a bite thinking a bit before swallowing it down
Though your face looked stone cold you were melting inside, the way the donut was soft when you bit into it and the glaze melted on your tongue was enough to send you to cloud 9 'These are sooo goodddd' you thought to yourself "10 out of 10 Sume" you clapped. "I got us some other snacks if you're up to it as well" you went over to grab them, setting them on the coffee table. I'll be back my legs are freezing right now"
You ran towards the back door and turned on the heat to 78 degrees then went to go change once again pawing at your clothes till you found a pair of sweatpants that were a little too big but you'll manage with the tied draws strings you walked back down stairs. Sneaking up behind her as she sat crisscrossed on the counter biting into a donut as she scrolled through her phone.
You put your hands on her ribs and started ticking her. The donut falling out her mouth and her phone on her lap laughing maniacally "Stop stop i surrender" she said between laughs. You dropped your hands and giggled a bit bringing your eyes up to meet her gaze as she slightly pouted
"I am not one to take defeat.'' She slid off the counter standing in a sumo stance "Sume, w-what are you doing?" you backed up against the counter. She ran towards you and started tickling you making you laugh uncontrollably, you tried running but wherever you went she would catch up pouncing on you continuing her revenge.
"I can't breathe!" You wheeze as you ran out of breath and started slightly coughing and that's when she came to a stop.''Maybe i went to far" she said picking herself up off the floor holding a hand out for you to grab on to, you grabbed on and she pulled you up with a small grunt
"Ready to start this show ma fraise?" she said going to the tv stand picking up the remote turning it on, jumping on the couch "This may be my first time here but i like the place"
"Just wait till Mina starts randomly showing up at 12 am cause she's horny, it's terrifying" you muttered under your breath as you held your ribs because of the excruciating pain from too much laughter.
"What was that?" Mei calls over the couch. "Huh? Oh nothing, what are we watching?" you quickly replied coming near
"It's between Banana Fish, Love is war, Bungo stray dogs: dead apple or Horimiya" she twisted her face as she thought hard as to which was better to watch.
"I've seen Banana fish and bungo stray dogs, I started a love war a few days ago so put on Horimiya" you jumped on the couch and leaned to the side laying your head on her shoulder as she clicked on to it.

You picked up the remote and paused it, "It's barely been over an hour since we started watching and you already tired" you yawned looking to the side at her as she suede back and forth trying to stay awake. "Don't force yourself to stay up, you have customers to smile at all day tomorrow" you grabbed her shoulders and gently brought her head down to your lap, she turned her body facing up, instantly fell asleep
"I got my own work tomorrow as well" you picked up your phone and a 2 different messages from 2 different people came through
Hiro: We had a deal *Wink emoji*
Mina: Is Mei gone yet?
"I don't have time for exs" you said to yourself before looking back down at mei, she said droll coming out the side of her mouth. You pulled your sleeve up to your hand, gently wiping of the droll, finished you took a long stare at her, the way her hair fell perfectly, her face at complete peace then her lips looked still.
You leaned in close to her lips then backed up "Ugh i should just go to sleep, before i do something i'll regret", you slowly got up replacing your lap with a pillow nearby and standing up stretching, spun on your heel and tracked upstairs throwing yourself on the bed. you wiped your forehead and turned your head facing the empty space on your bed,
you reached your hand out and once again your eyes filled with tears as the feeling of loneliness overwhelmed your body, soul and spirit how it's been a while since you felt this way even before you were single.
Shuffling came from down the hall and came to a halt at your door."Y/n, your crying again aren't you" a drowsy voice said.
"Mei!?, shouldn't you be asleep?" you hurried to the door letting her in. "Yeah but you're more important than anything of the sort right now. She said crawling into your bed.and patting your spot "Come on, i don't like sleeping alone"
You closed the door and got into the bed with her. Instantly she grabbed your head and laid it on her chest. You listened to her heart beat till you fell asleep "thank you" you muttered last.
