Stavyn. The love of my life... or so I thought. It all started when Stavyn and I were headed to the park for a date. It was such a sublime morning! Every tree and flower radiated such ecstasy, and the sun reflected great, glowing sunbeams. It was perfect!
I was sitting across from them. Their gorgeous eyes glistened like a billion stars gathered in a bottomless ditch. I couldn't help but smile. That's all I could do whenever I was around them, anyways. Eventually, they looked back at me and smirked. Though, something was off. I could tell it wasn't completely sincere, but "whatever", I thought. I was probably just overthinking it. We both started eating. After some time passed by, Stavyn was taking a sip of their Monster when they had accidentally spilled it on me. "Oh, shoot! I'm so sorry!", they apologized. "No, don't sweat it!", I insisted. Stavyn replied hesitantly, "Are you sure?". "Of course! I just got a bit damp. I can just go to the bathroom and dry off super quickly.", I sarcastically remarked as I was covered in fluid. Stavyn giggled, "Ha, okay. See you when you get back.". I got up and headed to the nearest public bathroom across from the park.
I grabbed a couple paper towels and patted myself down. Then, there was someone in the restroom that came up to me and said, "Hey! I love your outfit! It's really different from what I see other people wearing these days. It's really cool to see some people have the guts to wear what they feel comfortable in without caring what others think, ya know?". "Ya, I completely agree! Oh, and thanks. Too bad it's completely drenched at the moment, ha.", I responded. "Haha! You're funny!", she said sort of flirtatiously, "Hey, do you think I could get your number and we could, you know, maybe-". "I-I'm sorry. It's just that.. I'm already dating someone at the moment-", I said nervously before she interrupted. "Oh, I'm sorry! I uh-". "No, it's okay! Seriously! You didn't know.", I ensured. "Ok, well. I guess, bye then?", she responded. "Ya, ok, bye!", I waved kindly as I exited the restroom. Too bad I wasn't prepared for what happened next. I couldn't believe what was right before my eyes. From afar, I watched as Stavyn passionately kissed a girl.
My delicate heart of the purest gold just melted. It was now nothing but a puddle of disbelief and broken promises. It seemed to have had harsher feelings than me myself. "WHAT THE HELL DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!!!!", I thought desperately to myself. I just tried to convince myself that it wasn't my fault, and that I was just foolish enough to think that someone like Stavyn actually could've been the one for me. Though, deep down inside, under all of my wrath and hate, I was hurting. I aggressively wiped away my tears, and rushed away. In the corner of my eye, I could see Stavyn glance over at me in shock, but that shock quickly turned into guilt. That day, I promised myself that I would never fall in love again, and that the entire idea of it is all just a stupid fantasy. I thought I was in awe, though it was all really just pain, but that's alright because I was never going to let myself make the same mistake again.
