- Last Evening -
"Have a seat, Midoriya." Grandmamma said that made me gulf before complying; taking a seat beside her as we sat on the porch of the backyard while in front of us is their wonderful garden-OH look a Fish!
"Is there something you need from me, Grandmamma?" I asked as I sat on my legs, showing respect to the owner of the house.
Grandmamma tilts her torso to her other, grabbing something away from my eyes. She had her small close-eyed grin plastered on her face as she do.
She then placed a dark blue cloth on my lap, following a black, longbow. "What is this?" I inquired as she gestures me to open it which had me even more wonder.
"Is Rosalita asleep?" She asked back as I open the cloth; I hum a yes with a nod with a shy smile on my face. "You're gonna sleeping without a futon... Tonight, aren't you"
I flinched. "Yeah... She told me '"You don't look trustworthy enough to sleep beside me, go take the floor"', that's what she said" I mimicked as my head flashes her face and actions as she tells me.
Her hand is on her hips while the other is pointing down at me as I kneel on the floor as if a kid being scolded by her mum.
"You seem to be trustworthy though... I'm really sorry for that" Grandmamma apologized which caught me off guard.
"Ah? No need to apologize! I'm used to it-" Grandmamma flinch again and now she bowed. "AH! THAT'S NOT WHAAT I MEAN-um... Hehe, but I found it amusing so don't worry, Grandmamma"
"*sigh* I'm sorry for you my boy... But, we can't blame her too, that girl has been through lots of things as she grows throughout the years"
Grandmamma sadly said as she gazes at her Garden with sad eyes.
"Hmm?" I hummed in curiosity as I tilt my head.
"Emilio, or my husband... Have this Yukata for the men our family will have, either it's his son or son-in-law, he'll surely pass this through." She explained
pulling up the cloth she had given me a while ago. My eyes went wide.
"Do you like it!?" Grandmamma peeks from the side of the Dark Blue Yukata with a cheeky smile on her face. "I'm sorry it's a little dusty, I've rummaged my husband's cabinet to find that! It's old but I thought, it'll be proof of my approval of you and Rosalita..." She said, her tone slowly going lower and softer
"Yukata!? But, this is your husband's... I-I can't" I tried to decline before I felt a pat on my head.
"This is our family heirloom Midoriya... There's this Yukata and the other one is a Kimono... We passed this through every generation but when my husband was about to pass this to Juana's man, he realizes that man is not worthy of the heirloom...
Rosalita's father... Is a vulgar man, always mistreat his wife and (Y/N) when she's a baby. Always shouting craps every night, drinking nonstop and even quitting his job.
Agh, that pest is no good to be in anyone's life. That's why I only passed down one of our heirlooms to Juana... I mean, you and your mother in law match Yukata and Kimono so I don't find any problem with that"
I flinch.
"I remember I have plans of passing this to Homage Tuko... Rosalita's ex. I know you've heard of him, from Maria Reyes-"
"You saw the video!?"
"Of course I have... And I'm so proud of you. You stood up for Rosalita there. You're the first person I saw defend her like that." She commented with a shy smile on her face.
