Walking into school I see my bestie Caitlyn near my locker, she has been my only friend since day 1. I know such a loner. I did have other friends but I distanced myself from them because I had my Mom's condition on my mind but the only person who was still there by my side was Caitlyn.
"Yo Caitlyn" I messed up her hair by rubbing it. She turned her head from her phone and frowned at me.
She is shorter than me, like 5'3 or something my height is a 5'6, so I always rub her head like she's the small kid and I'm her elder.
"You gotta stop doing that, and how's your day going now that you saw Asher " she wiggled her eyebrows.
"Doing good, but I saw that little shit and now my day is upside down"
She knows about my feud with my nemesis and I told her how it happened. You know what she said? She said
'Awwwwww you two are meant for each other' Bleh
"I know he made your day better, stop lying"
"If better means worse, than sure you can say that"
"So um how's your Mom"
She knew about my Mom's condition and she was the only one who will. If I told these words to other people they would show a look of sympathy, I got that too many times to count from my relatives so I only told her.
"No results, it just keeps getting worse I don't know what to do". If I did something like save her from that but she took the fall for me. I put my head down. Its true I had an opportunity but she gave herself which risked to this. But that's a story for another day
"Jackie" she put her hands on my shoulder "Stop blaming yourself okay, she did that to save you and she loves you so she knew you had a chance to save her but if you would have been in that situation it would have her to see you in the hospital"
"Caitlyn you don't understand I regret her even meeting up with her so called 'boyfriends' and I could have stopped that by giving myself up so it wouldn't hurt to see her in this condition knowing that I could have done something" I raised my voice a little bit higher. Realizing we're in public I calmed myself.
"Sorry for snapping at you Caitlyn, just overwhelmed" I said my voice a little lower this time.
"I understand but keep in mind to stop blaming yourself for once at least"
"Gotta go to class now or else I'll be late, see you later"
"Bye"
I reached class in time which is surprising, now in no mood to talk to anybody. I found two benches, one where the devil was sitting. Oh Lord give me a break I don't need him right now. And one next to the Royal Highness, Amber Ryans, She is a pain in the ass to everyone in the school, but mostly to me because, as she likes to say it 'You are stealing the attention of my Ashy boo from me'.
But her Ashy boo is giving the attention that she does not need to worry about like go get him I do not give a shit. The only problem is Asher doesn't like her, he has rejected her multiple times in public, but he is more important to her that her fame doesn't matter anymore. She took 'Never Gonna Give you Up' to a whole another level. Oh how far people go for love. Kinda feel bad for her to be honest
So I two options, I can either get irritated or I can either annoyed. Such nice options. Before I could choose, Amber's follower, Mitchelle sat next to her.
Mitchelle, a lost puppy of hers. She is actually really kind, but when she is with the she devil she just seems to follow her wish. They both have every girls dream features, while Amber is a brunette, Mitchelle is a blonde, they have petite frames, while they have blue eyes, I have brown eyes very boring I know.
So I have to sit next to him. Give me strength.
"Sup Jackson" A masculine voice says. His disciples start snickering at me. These are the days where I feel like killing him. He knows my name, he just calls me the wrong name to get on my nerves. Well jokes on him I got used to it. Amber looks at me with full of hatred now that she knows I am here. I send her sweet fake smile.
He was wearing a black v-neck shirt, black pants, his necklace with something written on the pendant, some rings. His friends sitting in front of him are from the football or basketball team. Asher could join some of these teams but it isn't his jam according to him
"Hey Ashley, I'm in no mood to do this shit right now" I sit next to him. His friends turned against him as they laughed at him, but stopped when he glared at them.
"What crawled up your ass and died?"
"Your ego" It isn't the best comeback but hey that's all the energy I have right now. Just in time our Algebraic teacher came in. Yep we have a Algebra period and if you have been in school, you would know that this stuff right here eats brains.
"Class settle down, its enough I have to deal with you all" a high pitched voice screeched in I think the whole class's ears. I seriously don't understand if she doesn't like children why does she give her resume for a teacher's job. She is rich as fuck yet she comes here to a normal paying teacher's job. I am convinced she deals with drugs.
"You heard her, so please stop talking Ashy boo" I whispered to the person next to me. He rolls his eyes, he hates this name. Throughout the class he kept poking his pencil at me, pulled my hair multiple times and I almost got detention for firing back at him.
Finally I got through the first period, and was about to leave to my locker. But Amber stopped me.
"I warned you to stay away from my Boyfriend" I think her voice was supposed to be menacing, but she looked funny doing so.
"Please tell that to your 'boyfriend' cause I can't do shit" I can but if her Ashy boo does shit, I cant ignore it.
"What's going on over here?" Great
"Hey Ashy, how are you?" she immediately took his arm and I was trying not to laugh at his uncomfortable.
"Hey Anna?" He said with a confused expression making it even more funny.
"Its Amber, silly" she giggled. By now I left knowing that keeping him with Amber will be payback for what he did to me in class.
I reached my locker and opened it, to see my phone had already so many missed calls from my brother. I usually don't take it with me to class cause one of the teachers will see it. I called him back. I knew I was going to be late to my 2nd period now but if he called so many times, it must be important. He immediately answered the phone
"Hey Gabriel what happen-
"COME NOW TO THE HOSPITAL STAT"
