All View:
One week later

The compound has been rather quiet over the last week. Even on floors the farthest away from the med wing, members of the team all walk with tipped feet in order not to disturb Wanda's much earned slumber.

She hasn't opened her eyes since she was on the jet. Y/N can easily imagine the lack of sleep she has faced over the last three months. Even now underneath wires, tubes, and bandages, her sleep is mandatory. She does not yet have the privilege to sleep just because she is comfortable and wants to.

Everyone wishes that was the case.

She has been detached from her powers so long it is as if they struggle to weave through her. Or they're very focused on something specific so the rest of her is trying to heal on its own.

But since landing, Bruce, Tony's machines, and a call to one of Bruce's friends who specializes in orthopedic surgeries have done some of the healing for her. They have stabilized Wanda's health as far as breaks and open wounds.

Her broken arm has been straightened and bolted, her upper left thigh, covered in a large chemical burn from the paralytic they shot her with has been treated, though the scar will likely never leave her once the healing is finished. Both of her sprained ankles have been iced, heated, and moved every day by either
Y/N or Natasha to keep her muscles from stiffening. Her open cuts covering more skin than she even had- have been cleaned, stitched, wrapped and pinned. All after Natasha helped Y/N clean Wanda as much as they could without putting her in a bath.

It took quite a while to get through the dirt and blood that was willing to release her skin.

But she finally looks almost normal. If it weren't for the light weight, the crying in her sleep, and the fact that a few days ago something happened- Bruce's still unsure of what- but something happened that made her monitors spike and she stopped breathing on her own.

Y/N had to watch them restart her heart and shove a tube down her throat while they were cowering on the floor in the corner thinking she was going to die. When the monitors finally stopped all they could do was try to catch their breath too. But it took a while.

Since Wanda has been stabilized, everyone has taken a short break from all missions so they can be around when she wakes up. If she wakes up.

Y/N has spent every day for the last week curled into a chair beside Wanda's bed. Gladly uncomfortable so they can be near her.

Sometimes, her dreams get loud and they are able to see inside them. They desperately wish they could wake her. Or like in the past when either them or Wanda would have nightmares the other had permission to soothe their mind if they wouldn't wake.

(Which is an ability Y/N has that they did not share with the team. Only Wanda.)

However, Y/N knows Wanda has had enough of people doing things to her without her permission over her recent time in the facility. So they won't go in her mind. Not until she's awake and says it's okay. Even though her dreams have no grey area, they're either wonderful, or terrifying.

Like right now.

Y/N is sitting beside her bed painting acrylic images into their journal, and sketching the very detailed design of something new every day that she's been asleep. Her eyes reluctantly squeeze at the view inside her brain, Y/N sets their painting down on her bed and gently strokes her cheek with calming energy until she relaxes.
