Why do people always feel the need to comeback when you're finally starting to move on?

Sleeping peacefully in his bed, Jungkook cradles his pillow to his chest. The sun was shining through his blinds, but the light wasn't deterring him from sleeping. He was tired, his mind has been exhausted thinking of that one particular person.

Jungkook gritted his teeth as he heard the doorbells ringing twice in quick succession. Taking his alarm clock and looking at the time, it was still 8: am, not the time he intended to wake up. He placed the alarm clock back on the monitor, and the doorbells rang again. Slowly rising from his bed, Jungkook realized that it might have been the delivery of food.

Despite being in his pajamas and with bed hair, Jungkook walked towards the main door, oblivious to how he was looking. The food was the most important thing right now.

Upon opening the door, Jungkook's eyes widen. He was shocked at seeing the man standing in front of him right now. He was frozen in place and unsure of what to do. His heart beats like it is going to explode anytime soon.

Jungkook shut the door abruptly, leaving the man outside who cannot believe what he just did. Jungkook needs time to think. Is he hallucinating now? Is he really that desperate for him? What should he do? Should he pretend like he doesn't know him? Should he pretend like he never liked him? Should he pretend that he doesn't miss him? but he's a singer, not an actor.

It took Jungkook a minute to collect himself. He adjusted his clothes and hair, making certain he looked good. He had been waiting for this, to see him again after many years. He is not sure how this will end but why not just enjoy it while it lasts?

Taking a deep breath, Jungkook slowly opened the door. He had thought the man would have left by now, but he wasn't, instead he was still standing outside, smiling at Jungkook right after seeing the door open.

"Hi, you're Jungkook right? Jeon Jungkook?" The man asked in which Jungkook nodded. He still can't believe that they met again after 6 years. There is an air of newness in the room as if they have never met before and this is their first time seeing one another.

"And you're Kim Seokjin?" Jin smiled as he nodded to Jungkook's question. Jungkook still remembers the first time they introduced themselves to each other without using real names.

"Come in. That must be so heavy, let me help you." Jungkook notices that Jin has been carrying a bag full of groceries for a while. Jin doesn't want to lie, its really heavy, so he hands it over to Jungkook.

Jin was awestruck when he entered Jungkook's house, which had a clean, minimalist style, you could also see how expensive the furniture must be. These, however, weren't the only things that caught his eye, but also his favorite place, the kitchen. Countertops are very neat and there are many cabinets lined with kitchen appliances. The stoves are high-quality as well; everything in the kitchen is high-quality, just like the owner.

"Woah Jungkook, you really have a nice kitchen; do you love cooking that much?" Jin inquired as he marveled at Jungkook's amazing kitchen. Jin loves to eat as well as cook, so finding this place to be appealing to him was natural.

"As much as I like cooking, I don't love it as much as you do. This kitchen was designed by my mother in order to ensure my future partner will feel comfortable in the kitchen."
Jungkook replied, recalling a time when Jungkook and his mother fought over a simple dark kitchen, but his mother built a lavish version instead.

Jin paused and smiled as he thought Jungkook's future partner must be a very lucky person. As a man who loves to cook wholeheartedly, he is more likely to be found here than anywhere else in the house.

"By the way, have your friends already gone to work?" Jin asked, he intentionally showed up early so he could also prepare breakfast for them, but he hasn't noticed their presence since he arrived here.

"Ah, about that. I actually sent you the address to my house, not the place where I live with my friends." Jungkook explained, hoping Jin would remember him after receiving that address.

"Oh, I see." Jin replied as he placed the ingredients that he had purchased earlier on the kitchen counter.

"I thought you were going to ask someone to deliver it to me? Aren't you busy?" Even though Jungkook really wants to be with him, he just don't want to bother him.

"I am, but I finished it yesterday as soon as I could."

"Why?"

"Because I want to see you." Both Jin and Jungkook stared at each other with wide eyes. Jin, himself, has no idea why he said that.

"What I mean, is I want to see your house."
Jin mentally cursed himself for saying that. He turned his back on Jungkook and started washing the vegetables so he could cook already and leave as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was having difficulty hiding his crimson face and preventing himself from smiling.

.......

Gratitude flooded Jungkook's face when he put down his spoon on the table and leaned back in his chair after finishing the last of his soup. "Thank you so much, your food was delicious hyung."Jungkook said, he can't help but smile at the memory of the days when Jin used to cook him meals and ask someone to deliver them to him when he was just a trainee.

"I'm glad you liked it." Jin said as smile spread across his face

"Umm, Jungkook can I ask you a question?"

"Yes hyung, of course."

"Have you ever heard of someone named Jungs-" *ding* Jin was interrupted by a message notification on his phone alerting him that someone had messaged him. He looked at his phone and saw his manager was asking him to come straight to his office immediately.

"I really apologize Jungkook, but I need to leave now." Jin said quickly as he gathered up his belongings.

"Wait, let me take you there." Jungkook expressed his desire to take Jin to the scene. He missed this man so much that he couldn't stand to part with him again.

"No, it's okay. My driver is already on his way. " Jin said, trying not to sound unwilling to leave. "Let's meet again, okay?" It was as Jin had just expected that the younger man began to lighten up as he spoke those words.

"Okay, let's do that."
