You sighed, curled up in a chair looking at Vanessa sadly, the woman looked at you with a bit of guilt, this was all her idea after all.
"Vanessa I waited for four hours.. and they didn't even.. they didn't even send a text or anything.."
You said then sniffled, taking in some quick breaths to calm yourself.

You had been texting this person Vanessa had introduced you to, you thought you and them had hit it off pretty well.. and well..
Vanessa suggested you both go on a date..
It was all great until no one showed up..

Vanessa frowned before opening her mouth to speak,
"Y/n go talk to Sun.."
Your gaze shifted to the floor,
"I know you're still trying to get over your crush on him but he'll make you feel better, you always got along with the Daycare attendants better than any of the night shift workers so don't worry, you won't get in trouble."
You nodded slightly, understanding what she was saying..

"I'm really sorry they did that.. I'll make sure they get an earful from me, okay? Nobody stands up my bestie."
Hearing that last bit made you giggle slightly, she grinned then gave you a gentle but quick hug before helping you up.
"I know Sun is probably the last person you want to see but you know.. Maybe it's time you actually tell him how you feel?"
She handed you your purse and cup, giving you another side hug before sending you off.

You made your way to the daycare, you had a drink in your hand of course, not to mention the beautiful dress you were wearing, it was f/c and it fit your curves just perfectly, the way it hung from your waist was just gorgeous, your hair was also done just perfectly.
You were wearing you favorite scent, and gosh you just.. it was amazing.
You would've been glowing if it weren't for the fact that you looked quite sad. Tears pricked your eyes as you opened the entrance doors.

You gently wiped your tears, thank god for waterproof makeup! They should really give the guy who can up with that a raise. You took a deep breath then gently called out for your favorite person in the whole world,
"Sunny?"

You heard the daycare theme song slowly start to turn down and you saw a man emerge from the ball pit, those gorgeous blue eyes and his adorable fluffy golden hair always stood out among everyone else, but it was the way that he looked at you that cause your heart to melt, the way that made you feel like you were the only girl in the world that mattered to him.
"Y/n?"
Sun said confused,
"What're you doing here! I didn't know you had work today! Gosh if I'd known you were gonna be here I would've kept out the drawing supplies and candy-"

The man's confusion easily turned into excitement, as you could obviously tell,
"Hi Sunny.."
You paused taking a deep breath, your gaze quickly shifted to the floor..
"I don't have work today, I'm just hanging out.."

Sun stared at you for a moment, looking you up and down realizing how gorgeous you looked. Seeing your outfit and hair, the way your makeup was done, but he also took notice of the redness in your eyes. He thought you were drop dead gorgeous but something was off.
"Did something happen dear? You know you can always talk to me Y/n.."
The man gently took your hand, rubbing his thumb over it. He looked at your with the gentlest of expressions, it made you feel wanted, loved even.

"I had a date tonight.. but they stood me up.. and I waited on them for four hours.. and I-"
You felt your eyes tear up but then there was a warm hand on your cheek, a finger wiped away your tears,
"Excuse my potty mouth but screw them! They're the one missing out, not you!"
The man gently caressed your face, making you lean in to his touch.

Your eyes widened hearing him be so passionate about this, but you soon chuckled after. Putting one of your own hands on top of the one he had on your face.
"Thank you Sunny.. That actually made me feel a little better.."
You gave him a genuine smile, making his cheeks heat up ever so slightly. The man's eyes admired you, taking in every inch of your face. He couldn't explain this feeling.. the only way he could even begin to explain would be 'this must be how fathers and mothers feel about each other'
