Chapter One - Let's Talk

A sun that could be seen for miles set on a warm afternoon on the Grand Line. It was surprising that with its chaos and disrespect for logic that there weren't two suns or that it simply didn't set at all. But, some things remained the same, and so did nature (to a minimal degree, mind you.)

On an evening after an event with no words spoken sat a strikingly muscular man, stooping over the stern of a ship known as the Going Merry. His expression was desolate as thoughts cut like a sharpened blade when they replayed through his mind. Zoro couldn't forget the events that happened. The past sat heavily on his shoulders as he had to bear the weight of the tragedy. In the end, everything turned out fine, but in his mind, the thought of Luffy's mangled body left him terror-stricken.

Another man dressed in a black suit was approaching closer with a cigarette firm between his lips. The blonde-pervert-cook-with-the-stupid-eyebrows Sanji. That name was too long, so Zoro called him, "Ero-cook, what do you want?" Zoro asked with a sear voice.

"Lighten up, will ya? I know you're down, so I brought food to help." Sanji said, masking the sadness in his voice as his feet closed the space between blonde and moss.

"I don't need your pity; I need peace. Beat it, ero." Zoro scoffed, turning back towards the water that stretched out for miles. Its beauty was truly undeniable, along with the pain it could inflict.
"Maybe you don't, but you do need food. You haven't eaten since this morning. Don't give me your bullshit either," Sanji placed down the plate he held to throw his cigarette bud in the ocean before lighting another. "I checked the food rations three times today, and not a bit of it went missing. Not even beer." He said, looking down at the deck, before returning his gaze to the back of Zoro's neck.

"Whatever. What'd you bring?" Zora asked, giving up on arguing with the cook. Zoro had realized a while back that Sanji wouldn't refuse to feed a hungry mouth. No amount of back and forth chatter would stop him from trying to shove the food down the person's neck (excluding Nami and Robin.)

"We had steak and wine," Sanji answered as he placed the plate down on a nearby table, motioning for Zoro to join him for a late (private) dinner.

"So, did you notice the table and rather me not eat on the deck or are you just practising for the ladies?" Zoro asked as he sat down. Sanji scoffed, turning away with an anger vein popping up to the right of his forehead.

"Oh, just shut up and eat," Sanji said as he returned to stealing Zoro's soul with his eyes.
"So, are you still thinking about what happened?" Sanji asked as Zoro stopped eating.
"Yeah." He replied blankly without a hint of emotion in his words.

"Why? This is tearing you apart." Sanji said as he leaned in closer to Zoro. "It's not worth it, and everyone's worried about you. Zoro looked out to the seat beside him.

"Why do you care so much? Did you feed me a women-women fruit or something?" Zoro asked.
Sanji sighed, almost as if he needed two cigarettes. "What does ohana mean?" He asked, making Zoro groan.

"We're not doing this again," Zoro grunted, ready to walk away from his problems.

"What does ohana mean?" Sanji asked again in the same voice and with the same expression.
"Family," Zoro responded as a small smile made its way to Sanji's lips.

"What does family mean?" Sanji asked.

"Nobody gets left behind," Zoro grumbled.

"Do you really think I'll forget about you when you're hurting?" Sanji asked. He was honest, with no deceit driving his sentence. Just pure honesty, trust and meticulosity.

"No," Zoro answered, nearly letting a tear leave his eye. "You'd care no matter what." He said. Sanji smiled wide, nodding as he stood, seeing that the plate was clean. Zoro stood too, and both men faced each other.

"Most of the time, I hate you. But when it comes to this, I really don't want to watch you die. Even if it's from the inside out." Sanji said, coming closer as his arms found themself warm around Zoro's waist. Zoro jumped a bit, caught off guard by the unnatural softness Sanji currently radiated. Even as a stiff, Zoro moulded to this feeling. He hugged Sanji back as the air around them changed in a comforting way. For the first time in hours, Zoro was at ease.Sanji moved his head from out of Zoro's chiselled chest and up to his cheek, where he laid a delicate kiss before pulling slightly away. Zoro's face was a tomato, but he accepted his cremate's love and melted into a passionate kiss with Sanji.

Lips met lips as Sanji slipped his tongue in Zoro's mouth, feeling around the wet cavern before both boys parted for (incredibly useless and cock-blocking) air.

"So, were you waiting for this, or am I just getting special treatment tonight?" Zoro asked before stopping his sentence to the feeling of a warm mouth on his nipple and sharp eyes to his right. "Sanji." Zoro moaned softly, pushing the blonde away. Sanji realized the problem and turned to his left, just as the person vanished in the shadows.

0.1A/N (Author's Note);  (Unedited/revised) because real chaos cannot be altered. (I'm too lazy and it's a school-night.  Feel free to skip this or go to the third paragraph for any useful information.

2.So, what'd you think of my first chapter? I haven't wrote a One Piece fiction in a while, or a full chapter of anything for that matter, so I'm a little rusty (very rusty, actually). Any feedback is well appreciated, and please feel free to leave comments. I'll usually reply to all of them, and I'm very responsive (trust me).

3.As you might've noticed, Sanji is the Seme in this story. If you don't like that, then find a story with him as the Uke. I probably won't add any references after the Alabasta arc, even though I'm two episodes behind that now (so impressive, I know). I hope you can understand, thanks if you can.

4.I'd like to thank you for reading, and hope that you enjoy in this story in the future (considering it'll have one). Be sure to read my other stories, and stay safe out there!
