He wanted to respond, but wasn't able to do it before you turned around.
And since Henry was sure that he had to do at least something to make you stop, he grabbed you by your arm and pulled you back.
This was a bad idea and he knew that. It upset you more than what he had done prior, causing your sadness to turn into anger. But what else was he supposed to do?
"I miss you.", he stated, still gripping onto your arm tightly. Why was he being so open about this? He had wanted to shut himself up, but somehow the words had just come out of his mouth...
"Not my fucking problem, Bowers.", you hissed while you tried to rip your arm out of his grasp.
"I need you."
With a jolt you freed your arm and glared at him, this time for real. It must've looked pathetic with those tears in your eyes, but you were so done with him. So infuriated by him.
"No, you don't.", you choked out.
"Why don't you believe me?!", he asked loudly. "Give me a reason to!"He just gulped. He fucking gulped and looked at you like a damn fish, not moving an inch!
Now was his chance. If he showed you what he felt instead of muttering down some meaningless words, you would probably believe him.
But he just stood there, not revealing enough emotions for you to understand him.
"See! That's what I mean. You don't care, you never do, because you are utter trash!", you yelled. For once, you actually had the courage to insult Henry Bowers and stand up for yourself.
Again, you turned around and tried hurrying away, but you were met with a hard chest.
Patrick stood right infront of you as your hands rested on his flat body. "Hey there, sweet cheeks.", he grinned before he carefully shoved you out of the way.
His head snapped up to take a good look at Henry. But Patrick knew better than to pick on him. He knew, that simply going away with you by his side would make the blonde boy more angry.
With a broad smile, he layed his arm down on your shoulders and pulled you into him before he turned around with you.
You wanted to take one last glance at Henry, but Patrick's strong grip stopped you from doing so. Hiding your disappointment, which you had for whatever reason, you went along with your boyfriend.

July 29, 1988
You were walking alongside your brother Bill to go shopping. It should, once again, just be you, but you had begged your mother to make him go as well.
He wasn't pleased by that at all... but you really wanted him with you.
Because first of all: you didn't want to risk to run into Henry again; and second of all: you wanted to explain your situation to him.
"[Y-Y/n]...", he sighed, breaking the tight silence between you two, "Why di-did I n-nee-need to go wi-with you?"
You stopped and watched him. After some seconds, he stopped as well, noticing that you weren't next to him anymore.
This was what you wanted... to talk to him.
Gulping down a cloth that was hanging in your throat, your eyes softened and you readied yourself to speak.
But when Bill turned around and looked at you too, he tried his best to give off a death stare, which he couldn't. His facial features were just too soft.
However, it still stung. But you simply set this aside. Of course, he was still angry with you. That was completely understandable.
"Alright, Billy. Please let me explain myself before you assume anything, okay?", you asked, full of hope. He only nodded, so you nodded back, assuring yourself and him.
"H-How did you e-e-even ge-g-get in contact?"
"Well, you see... I was buying groceries and stuff and then there was Henry and we sort of stole them, bec-" – "You d-did wha-at?!"
"Not like you think. Ahhh... actually, exactly like you think. But he scared me, alright? I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to say no! You know how that boy ticks!
Well, moving on... he, for some reason, kissed me. And you know... stuff happened."
"S-So, you s-sl-slept with him?", the young kid questioned, his voice laced with disgust. "What? No! I mean, yes, but not immediately... It was a month or so later.", you explained, thinking back to the time you had lost your fucking v-card to Henry Bowers.
All in all, it had been a great experience, but it made you sad to think about it, knowing he only used you.
Bill didn't respond again, letting you fulfill your story. By now, you started walking again.
"Like I said, there were, like, weeks of him being really nice, but Patrick also got kind of nicer and then Henry hit me again, because Patrick kissed me and then told him, not knowing I was with Henry. Relationship wise... you know?
And yeah... he sorta took care of me when Henry abandoned me at the quarry.", you rattled down. You weren't sure if he had understood a thing you had just said.
"A-And now? Are you a-a cou-co-couple?" – "Yep, even openly. He isn't ashamed to tell anyone.", you grinned happily, forgetting how much your brother still hated Patrick.
"Not that Henry was, he was just toying with me anyways...", you spat, a hint of sadness in your eyes.
"H-Ho-H-How do you know?"
"Patrick told me.", you stated, not even realizing how stupid it sounded to simply believe what that psychopath told you.
Your brother tried to ignore your weirdly stupid answer. "I'm t-trying to ma-ma-make sense a-out of your st-sto-story, but how c-could you e-e-e-ven d-develop feelings for such gu-g-guys? I-I don't get it."
"Trust me, Billy, I don't get it either. All I know is that I have some sort of emotion towards them."
"Them?! I tho-thought you a-a-and Henry broke u-up?!"
You didn't answer, just entered the store without a word, searching for the things your mother wanted you to get.
Bill didn't mention it again and started shopping with you. He also started to think about you and your new... friends.
He wasn't stupid.
Bill knew, that you couldn't control your feelings. Nor could you control those of Henry or Patrick.
But for being fine with the relationship between Hockstetter and you, he had to be sure of the brown-haired boy's intentions.
He didn't want to see you heartbroken and he knew exactly, that both of these guys were horrible options in partners for that matter.
But if he could just make sure that one of them at least treated you right or actually loved you, he would be pleased. At the time being, he couldn't believe that Patrick Hockstetter even had a heart.
