(Nikita POV cont.)

My dismal thoughts about Chandler and Vitoria grew darker as I sat in silence in the back of the Uber next to Samantha, and I tried not to let it show on my face. In the two seats in front of us, staring out the windows, sat Fiona and Gabriel.

When I had walked to the car earlier after locking my front door, I watched as the back windows of the vehicle immediately rolled down. I could see Sam, Gabriel and Fiona's heads pop out of them.

"Happy Birthday Nikita!!" They had screamed in unison.

"Thanks, you guys." I had said to them, a smile plastered across my face as I approach the vehicle. At the same time, the doors to the back of the Uber slid open and Sam followed by Fiona and Gabriel, jumped out. Upon reaching them, they pulled me into a huge group hug. I found myself becoming totally squashed.

"Oh my god, you guys, let go I can't breathe." I told them laughing.

They released me and stepped back. Just then, Samantha gave me an immediate once over and whistled appreciatively nodding her head.

"Hubba-Hubba. You look simply ravishing in that dress. I didn't know you had that. But I do recognize those boots. Aren't those mine?" She inquired haven just given me a once over and now had her eyes glued down at my feet. She looked up at that moment to stare at me.

I too looked down at my feet at the boots I was wearing. A playful smirk crept on my face when I looked back at her and said,

"Yep, and now they are mine and you're not getting them back either, so don't ask. Besides, if you recall, you made me walk up and down Fifth Avenue to find the perfect outfit for my date with Chandler. I was looking for something to wear tonight when I saw the box for it on my top closet shelf." I told her.

"Well, I think you look stunning in that outfit. Hot stuff." Fiona said to me smiling brightly.

"Yeah, if I wasn't already married to Fi here, I would totally date you." Gabriel said with a chuckle and sent a wink my way.

"Is that right, mister?" Fiona said to her husband as she playfully elbowed him in the ribs.

"Just playing Fi. You know I only have eyes for you, babe." Gabriel said pulling his wife close and giving her a peck on the lips.

"Nice save, Gabe. You were destined to end up sleeping either in the doghouse or on the couch tonight." I told him, laughing at the relieved expression on his face.

"Thanks. Can't have the little lady here thinking I really would choose anyone other than her. I love her way too much." Gabe kissed Fiona again just to prove it.

"Anyway...I think you look amazing and sexy as hell. I give this outfit a huge 'thumbs up'!!" Sam told me as she proceeded to do just that and gave me a thumbs up with her hands.

I laughed out loud.

"Ok, people, back on the clock. We got to get moving, we are on a time schedule and need to get this party on the road. Everyone back in the car." Samantha barked like a Drill Sergeant, as she proceeded to push all of us towards the waiting vehicle by the curb.

Once we all had piled back into the car, Samantha had me sit next to her while Fiona and Gabriel sat in the seats in front of us. The Uber driver immediately pulled away from the curb and turned towards the highway a few blocks away. From that point, it was complete silence, and I was getting bored from just watching cars pass by. I knew from earlier in the ride that we were heading into Manhattan. Now, a full hour and 30 minutes later, the Uber was currently weaving its way through busy city traffic.

"So... are we there yet?" I said aloud to combat the silence.

"Shush." Sam said, patting me on the hand. "We are almost there. Oh, and one more thing, before we get there, I am going to have to blindfold you." She warned.
