What! But you said-" Michael startled, rising half out of his seat in disbelief.

"We know what we said." Phil spoke softly. It sounded feeble next to the growing wave of Michaels anger. "Something has come up though, and we haven't really got a choice."

"Something always comes up! You said you'd stay this time! For at least a year!"

Technoblade sighed. "We knew you wouldn't like it."

"No shit!"

"No swearing, please, Michael." Phil said, but his voice sounded strained. "It's only for a few months while we sort something out back in Dray."

"Sort what out in Dray! You never tell me what you're doing there, and everytime you come back you have a new price on your head and another one of your sons is dead!" Michael yelled. "I'm going to be 18 soon, you can at least let me know why you're going!"

Phil looked like he wanted to say something, but stopped himself. Michael wasn't lying, after all.

"We don't want you to be worried." Techno said.

"Worried about what! Nothing I care about is in Dray! I just want to know you're going to be okay."

Phil winced. Techno was unfazed. "Nothing bad can ever happen to us, Michael. We'll be fine."

Michael glared. Realising he hadn't taken his eyepatch off yet, he pushed his chair back and stood. "I'm going to excuse myself." He said icily, pulling the leather from his face and exiting the room a little louder than necessary. He could hear Techno and Phil's hushed voices behind him, but ignored it, not even bothering to try and listen in on their conversation.

He collapsed into his bed with a huff, peeling his one eye open to eye the setting sun. Michael groaned. He wished it would just be nighttime already so that he could rollover, shut his eye and forget any of this happened. How could such a good day turn sour so fast?

He'd only lay there for a minute or two when a knock came at his door. Michael turned over, willing whoever it was to take their apology and kindly fuck off. He wasn't in the mood to act forgiving.

"Michael." Phil called, opening the door. The hinges squealed and Michael covered his ears.

"Just leave me alone." He grumbled.

"Me and Techno have something we want to say. Good news, this time. I promise."

The only reason Michael turned back over was because he knew Phil never broke his promises. His eye burned into Phil expectantly.

Phil took a breath in, and Techno appeared at his side. "We talked it over, and we thought, well, you are turning 18 soon..."

"And so we thought you could come with us. A sort of coming of age thing." Techno finished.
