"You're the one that doesn't care! You're the one breaking our home!"
"Don't you ever- "
"The miracle is dying, because of you!"
Casita begins to shake, rumbling loudly. Mirabel can hear Tió Felix say "The candle!" As she looks around and spots the candle rolling around dangerously on the window frame. She doesn't even notice herself starting to run until she shouts "Casita! Get me up there!" Casita uses one of its banisters as a ladder and Mirabel is climbing as fast as she can.
She faintly hears her sister and her cousin trying to get to the candle as well. Only to see them failing and falling as their gifts give out. She notices the mountains over Encanto splitting in two. She notices Bruno getting out of the house.
She continues going towards the candle.
"Mirabel!"
"Mirabel, we have to get out!"
"Mirabel, leave it!"
"Mirabel! The house is going to fall!"
"Mirabel! Get out!"
She stretches her arm as high as she can, trying to reach the candle and with a little help from Casita, her fingers finally brush over the wax surface of their candle. She barely has time to hold onto it before she hears the loudest cracking yet. Bruno's tower is going to collapse, and she was right in its path.
Daring to look down into the courtyard, she notices that it's too high to jump. Before she has more time to decide what to do pieces of the tower are already hitting her, sending her falling. She hears an anguished scream. She has no time to dwell on it as she gets thrown around like a doll. Debris falling all around her.
She hits the ground. Hard. Casita attempts one last time to help its favorite resident and throws every piece of furniture it can find over her body, to shield her. It works in protecting Mirabel, but it doesn't stop the candle from going out. Mirabel looks at it in disbelief as the dust begins to settle.
"Mirabel!"
"Mirabel! Where are you!"
"Say something!"
"Mira!"
Hearing the voices of her family sends a shock down her spine. She couldn't face them. Not right now. Not after destroying their home. They would blame her. They would never be able to forgive her. She needs to get away. She needs to leave.
She drops the candle and runs as fast and as silently as she can in her state of shock. Away from the voices. She climbs over what was once the backside of Casa Madrigal. She runs without looking back. She runs toward the forest. Through the newly cracked mountain. She runs until she reaches a river and that's when she stops. Sinking onto her knees, she starts to cry. She didn't mean to.
